Disclosed are semi-solid gel compositions comprising (a) a gelling oil phase comprising: i) at least one oil gelator; ii) at least one fatty alcohol; and iii) at least one fatty compound other than (ii); wherein said gelling oil phase is present in an amount of from at least about 50% by weight, relative to the weight of the total composition; and (b) a lamellar crystalline aqueous gel phase comprising: i) water and optionally at least one polyol present in an amount up to about 50% by weight, relative to the weight of the total composition; ii) at least one lamellar crystalline phase structurant; and iii) at least one emulsifier. The disclosure also relates to methods of treating keratinous substrates.

Compositions and methods for treating keratinous substrates

The present disclosure relates to hair coloring compositions and methods for coloring hair. The hair coloring compositions include: (a) one or more hair colorants; (b) one or more ketal/acetal of glycerin compounds of Formula (I); (c) one or more cationic surfactants; (d) one of more fatty alcohols having at least 8 carbon atoms; (e) one or more polyols having from 2 to 10 carbon atoms; and (f) less than 5 wt. %, based on the total weight of the composition, of water and monoalcohols having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The hair coloring compositions are preferably solubilized, non-emulsified compositions.

Hair coloring compositions

The present disclosure relates to hair coloring compositions; and to methods for coloring hair using the compositions. The hair coloring compositions are substantially anhydrous and include: one or more colorant; one or more glycols; one or more monoalcohols having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms; one or more cationic surfactants; and one or more fatty compounds.

Hair coloring compositions and methods of use

Aspects of the disclosure relate to hair treatment compositions including about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic surfactant; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a fatty acid having a carbon chain of 12 or more carbons; about 0.1 to about 20 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and about 50 wt. % or more of water, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition. Additionally, the hair treatment compositions are formulated to have a molar ratio of the total amount of cationic surfactant to the total amount of fatty acid is about 1:0.8 to about 1:3 and a pH of about 2.5 to about 5.5. The disclosure also relates to methods for applying such hair treatment compositions.

Hair treatment compositions

The present disclosure relates to hair styling compositions that exhibit non-Newtonian shear thinning behavior during use. The hair styling composition include: (a) one or more fatty amides, fatty alkanolamides, and/or alkoxylated fatty amides; (b) one or more non-hydroxy substituted fatty acids; (c) one or more hydroxy substituted fatty acids; (d) at least 70 wt. % of one or more low-polar oils; and less than 2 wt. % of water. Additional components such as, for example, alkoxylated polyol esters, water-soluble organic solvents, and other miscellaneous ingredients, can optionally be included in the hair styling compositions. The hair styling compositions are particularly useful for styling or shaping hair and for providing hold, discipline, and texture to hair.

Disclosed are compositions for treating and conditioning keratinous substrates, comprising a silane compound; hydrophobic silica aerogel particles; a first organic acid; a cationic surfactant chosen from fatty dialkylamines; a second organic acid; a fatty alcohol; water; and optionally, a silicone compound other than the silane compound. Also disclosed are methods for treating and conditioning keratinous substrates using the composition.

Hair care compositions comprising cationic compounds, starch, and silane compounds

A hair treatment compositions including about 20 wt. % or more of a polyol; about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a monoalcohol having 1 to 10 carbons; about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of silicone; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic polymer; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic surfactant; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and about 10 wt. % or less of water, wherein all percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition.

The present disclosure relates to hair care and conditioning compositions; and to methods for conditioning, managing, and/or styling the hair using the compositions. The hair conditioning and managing compositions are substantially anhydrous and include: propylene glycol; one or more monoalcohols having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms; one or more cationic surfactants; and one or more fatty compounds. The compositions are solubilized, non-emulsified compositions until applied to wet or damp hair, whereupon the compositions form a lamellar phase in situ.

Hair care and conditioning compositions

The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for treating and/or cleansing keratinous materials. The compositions comprise at least one carboxylate anionic surfactant, at least one secondary surfactant other than the at least one carboxylate anionic surfactant, at least one glyceryl ester, and a cosmetically acceptable solvent, wherein the at least one carboxylate anionic surfactant and the at least one glyceryl ester are present in a weight ratio ranging from about 0.50 to about 1.00.

Cosmetic compositions

The hair treatment compositions of the instant disclosure typically include about 20 wt. % or more of a polyol; about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a monoalcohol having a carbon chain of 1 to 10 carbons; about 0.1 to about 5 wt. % of a fatty acid; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of a fatty amine; about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and about 0.1 to about 15 wt. % of an emollient, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition. The hair treatment composition typically has a weight ratio of the amount of polyol to the amount the monoalcohol of 20:1 to 1:1. Additionally, the hair treatment may have a molar ratio of the amount of the fatty acid to the amount of the fatty amine of 0.8:1 to 1.2:1.

The disclosure relates to systems and compositions for cleansing and detoxifying keratin fibers, in particular human keratin fibers such as the hair, as well as processes for cleansing and detoxifying keratin fibers using the systems and compositions according to the disclosure.
