An electronic device coupled to a display includes a graphics card and a processor. The graphics card reads the extended display identification data from the display. The processor determines, according to the extended display identification data, that the display is able to display a default resolution at a first refresh rate at most, and determines, according to the extended display identification data, whether the display device is able to display the default resolution at a second refresh rate that exceeds the first refresh rate. When it is determined that the display is able to display the default resolution at the second refresh rate, the processor adds the second refresh rate into the extended display identification data.

A color profile adjustment method adapted to an electronic device includes: obtaining a first current color profile of a first screen which is externally connected to the electronic device; determining whether the first current color profile is the same as a second current color profile of a second screen of the electronic device; and when it is determined that the first current color profile is different than the second current color profile, outputting an adjustment command to the first screen, so that the first screen adjusts the first current color profile according to the adjustment command.

An electronic device including a projection unit, an ambient light sensor and a processing unit is provided. The projection unit has a projection lens fixed on a side surface of the electronic device. The ambient light sensor is fixed on the side surface of the electronic device. The processing unit is configured to: control an average brightness of a screen projected by the projection unit as a first brightness value, and control the ambient light sensor to sense to derive a first measured brightness value; control an average brightness of the screen projected by the projection unit as a second brightness value, and control the ambient light sensor to sense to derive a second measured brightness value; calculate an ambient contrast ratio according to the first measured brightness value and the second measured brightness value; and adjust a projecting setting of the projection unit according to the ambient contrast ratio.

A method for selecting metering mode and an image capturing device thereof are provided. The method includes: obtaining a first exposure compensation value, a first white balance compensation value and a first focus distance corresponding to a first image; determining whether a first color temperature corresponding to the first white balance compensation value is greater than a predetermined color temperature; if yes, determining whether an ambient brightness corresponding to the first exposure compensation value is greater than a predetermined brightness, and if yes, setting a metering mode to be an average metering mode, while if not, setting the metering mode to be a center-weighted average metering mode; and if not, determining whether the first focus distance is greater than a predetermined focus distance, and if yes, setting the metering mode to be the center-weighted average metering mode, while if not, setting the metering mode to be the spot metering mode.

Method for selecting metering mode and image capturing device thereof

A white balance (WB) compensation method and an electronic apparatus are provided. The method includes the following steps. A first and a second specific color ratios of a predetermined color in a predetermined color temperature are obtained. A first and a second reference color ratios of a reference color in the predetermined color temperature are obtained. An image including pixels is captured, and an exposure index corresponding to the image is obtained. When the exposure index corresponds to the predetermined color temperature, specific pixels are retrieved from the pixels. WB compensation values of the image are calculated according to the specific pixels. An image color temperature of the image is obtained. When the image color temperature corresponds to the predetermined color temperature, the WB compensation values are updated according to the first and second reference color ratios. A WB operation is performed according to the updated WB compensation values.

White balance compensation method and electronic apparatus using the same

A touch-controlled system and a touch-controlled method are provided. The touch-controlled system includes a screen, a host, and an electronic pen. The screen is used to display an image with hidden coding. The host is used to drive the screen for displaying. When the electronic touches the screen, the electronic pen captures a part of the image of the screen and sends captured image to the host. At least one hidden information in the captured image. The host analyzes and decodes the hidden information, to get a cursor position where the electronic pen touches, and the cursor position is displayed on the screen.
