Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a radar system and method of operation thereof, whereby a spectrogram is generated by processing circuitry of a radar system by converting samples, of reflections of transmitted radar signals reflected by an object in an environment of the radar system, into a time-frequency domain, determining at least one threshold based on at least one MIN-of-MAX value for magnitudes of a frequency signal of the spectrogram, generating an interference-suppressed spectrogram by removing or attenuating interference components from the spectrogram based on the at least one threshold, and generating interference-suppressed samples based on the interference-suppressed spectrogram.

During an initial bootup in a bootloader of an SOC, a random number that is unique to the device is stored in secured storage. During a first bootup, a two-dimensional random key is stored in secure storage for encoding the ENV parameters. During a second (subsequent) bootup, the ENV parameters that are current in unsecured storage are compared against the ENV parameters that previously existed in order to identify a mismatch. A remediation security action can be taken responsive to a mismatch between the baseline digest and a dynamic digest. Ultimately, an operating system can be loaded in the bootloader.

Embodiments of systems and methods for estimating direction of arrival are disclosed. A device includes a signal processing unit that includes processing circuitry and memory coupled to the processing circuitry, where the processing circuitry includes multiple vector processing units, each vector processing unit configured to receive an antenna input vector, receive an angular spectrum vector, retrieve a first and second weighting vectors from the memory, generate a processed antenna input vector by performing a circular convolution of the antenna input vector with the first weighting vector, generate a processed angular spectrum vector by performing a circular convolution of the angular spectrum vector with the second weighting vector, and generate a refined angular spectrum vector, which indicates angular position of one or more radar targets, by applying a non-linear activation function to a sum of the processed antenna input vector and the processed angular spectrum vector.

In one example, a radar circuit uses computer processing circuitry for processing data corresponding to reflection signals via a sparse array. Output data indicative of signal magnitude associated with the reflection signals is generated, and then angle-of-arrival information is discerned therefrom by (e.g., iteratively): correlating the output data with at least one spatial frequency support vector indicative of a correlation peak for the output data; generating upper-side and lower-side support vectors which are neighbors along the spatial frequency spectrum for said at least one spatial frequency support vector, and providing, via a correlation of the upper-side and lower-side support vectors and said at least one spatial frequency support vector, at least one new vector that is more refined along the spatial frequency spectrum for said at least one spatial frequency support vector.

Radar-based detection using angle of arrival estimation based on sparse array processing

Exemplary aspects are directed to a radar-based detection circuit or system with signal reception circuitry to receive reflection signals in response to radar signals transmitted towards objects. The system may include logic/computer circuitry and a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) virtual array to enhance resolution or remove ambiguities otherwise present in processed reflection signals. The MIMO array may include sparse linear arrays, each being associated with a unique antenna-element spacing from among a set of unique co-prime antenna-element spacings.

The method may reduce hysteresis effects on the extraction of sensed currents of the component during the test frame, which may increase the accuracy and/or consistency of determined parameters evaluated from the sensed currents. The determined parameters may include temperature and/or aging of the component. The determined parameters may be used to adjust control signals for the component and other components in a region near the component during the next image frame.

An electronic device may include an electronic display having multiple pixels to display an image based on processed image data. Each of the pixels may include multiple sub-pixels. The electronic device may also include image processing circuitry to receive input image data, in a first color space, having luminance values for each of the sub-pixels. The circuitry may also map the input image data from the first color space to a second color space and apply a multi-dimensional lookup table, based on the input image data in the second color space, to generate compensated image data. The lookup table may receive the luminance values for each of the sub-pixels and output corrected luminance values compensated for an expected amount of current leakage between the sub-pixels. The circuitry may also inversely map the compensated image data from the second color space to the first color space to generate the processed image data.

Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic device display circuitry and methods of operating the display. The display circuitry includes gate-in-panel (GIP) drivers for each pixel row of a pixel array, and mode selection circuitry coupled between two of the GIP drivers. An optical system may include equipment with a housing that is configured to receive external equipment such as a cellular telephone. The external equipment may include a display. To control the persistence of the display, the optical system may include a light modulating layer. The light modulating layer may switch between a transparent state in which display image light is passed through the light modulating layer to reach the viewer and an opaque state in which display image light is blocked by the light modulating layer from reaching the viewer. The light modulating layer may be placed in the transparent state for a portion of each display frame and the opaque state for the remaining portion of each display frame. The light modulating layer may be formed in the housing of the equipment that receives the external equipment or may be formed with the external equipment directly.

The display device may also include a circuit that receives pixel data having a gray level for at least one pixel, such that the pixel data corresponds to a frame of the image data and the frame includes sub-frames. The pixel data causes the circuit to provide at least one current pulse to the at least one pixel according to a first order of the sub-frames. The circuit may also receive a second order of the sub-frames, such that the second order is mapped with respect to the first order, and at least one current pulse is provided to the at least one pixel according to the second order. As such, visual artifacts depicted on the display are reduced.
