Provided is a control device for an internal combustion engine, employing a microprocessor to control a load other than an ignition device, the control device being provided to an internal combustion engine in which is installed a magnet generator that has a magneto coil for successively generating, in association with revolution of the internal combustion engine, a first half wave voltage, a second half wave voltage of different polarity than the first half wave voltage, and a third half wave voltage of identical polarity to the first half wave voltage; and the magnet generator employing the second half wave voltage to drive the ignition device. The device is provided with an electricity storage element which draws excess power from the output that is output by the magnet generator for the purpose of driving the ignition device, and which is charged by the first and second half wave voltages, as well as being charged by the second half wave voltage as well at times that the internal combustion engine is in the exhaust stroke, in order to supply power to the load and to the microprocessor. The power source circuit is constituted to use the energy stored in this electricity storage element to generate power source voltage for presentation to the microprocessor and to the load other than an ignition device.

Control device for internal combustion engine

There is provided an electronic control unit including: input terminals connected to output terminals of a magneto generator driven by an engine; DC output terminals; a control power supply circuit that converts an AC voltage input between the input terminals into a DC voltage equal to a set value; and a microprocessor that controls electrical components of the engine, wherein the electronic control unit further includes an interruption signal generation circuit that compares an output voltage of the control power supply circuit with a certain abnormality determination voltage and generates an interruption signal when the output voltage of the control power supply circuit becomes the abnormality determination voltage or less, and an abnormality state storage unit for storing that an abnormality occurs in a power supply portion when the interruption signal is generated.

A diagnosis device of a capacitor discharge ignition device for an engine that detects, as a singularity, a leading edge or a trailing edge of a voltage between output terminals of an ignition power supply portion that generates a voltage for charging an ignition capacitor, counts the number of singularities detected while a crankshaft rotates through a measurement section, which is a section of a certain crank angle determined with reference to a pulse signal obtained by a signal generator that generates a pulse signal at a specific crank angle position of an engine, and diagnoses an abnormality of the ignition device and a cause of the abnormality by comparing the count value of singularity with the number of times of normal ignition of the engine performed while the crankshaft rotates through the measurement section.

Diagnosis device of capacitor discharge ignition device for engine

A power supply device comprises: a voltage converting portion that converts a voltage generated from a power supply portion into an output voltage to be supplied to a load; a voltage divider circuit that generates an output voltage setting signal for providing a set value of the output voltage; a set value changeover portion that turns on/off set value changeover switches to change a voltage divider ratio of the voltage divider circuit to change the set value; a storage device that stores a state appropriate for each set value changeover switch for keeping the value of the output voltage within a specified range; a set value changeover switch control portion that controls the set value changeover switches so as to bring each set value changeover switch into a state as stored in the storage device when the voltage is supplied from the voltage converting portion to the load; and an output voltage control portion that controls the voltage converting portion so as to make zero a deviation between the value of the output voltage and the set value.

An engine control system for controlling an engine into which fuel is supplied from a fuel supply system and which is ignited by an ignition system, the engine control system comprising: a detonation detecting device for detecting detonation of said engine; a judgment level setting device for setting a judgment level for judging whether detonation, which requires to be controlled, occurs; an enrich controlling device for controlling the fuel supply system so as to vary, to a rich-side, air-fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture being supplied to the engine for controlling the detonation when a level of an output signal of the detonation detecting device is equal to or more that the judgment level; and an ignition controlling device for controlling the ignition system so as to intermittently stop an ignition operation of the engine when the detonation can not be controlled by the enrich controlling device.

Engine control system

A signal generator for an internal combustion engine for obtaining precise information on a rotational direction of the engine when the engine runs at extremely low speed, comprising: a rotor having a first series of reluctor corresponding to a cylinder of the engine, and a second series of reluctor having a predetermined phase relationship relative to the first series of reluctor; and a first sensor and a second sensor that detect the first series of reluctor and the second series of reluctor, respectively of the rotor to generate pulses, wherein a positional relationship between the first and the second series of reluctors, and a positional relationship between the first and the second sensors are set so that a difference occurs in a phase relationship between an output pulse of the first sensor and that of the second sensor in forward rotation and in reverse rotation of the engine.

A fuel injection control system of a two-cycle in-cylinder direct injection engine, wherein: in a low speed area, an injection of fuel is started immediately after a scavenging port of the engine has been closed, and all fuel is injected during the time when an exhaust port is opened to stabilize an idling operation of the engine; in a middle speed area, fuel is injected even for a period of time deviated from a period between a timing of closure of the scavenging port and a timing of closure of the exhaust port; and in a high speed area, a timing of start of the fuel injection is advanced with an increase of a rotational speed of the engine thereby to inject a required quantity of fuel.

A method of controlling a fuel injection apparatus for a cylinder direct injection type two cycle internal combustion engine comprising the steps of detecting a scavenging temperature by a scavenging temperature detector provided in a scavenging passage of the cylinder direct injection type two cycle internal combustion engine and determining a practical injection time by arithmetically operating a correction value of the injection time relative to the detected scavenging temperature and multiplying a reference injection time by the correction value.
