A lever connector includes a housing, and a lever rotatably provided on the housing to be rotated in a locking direction to be disposed at a connection locking position. The lever includes support plate portions rotatably supported by both sides of the housing, the housing has a hump portion protruding in a direction intersecting with a rotating direction of the lever, the lever has a protrusion portion protruding in an opposite direction to the hump portion to be engaged with the hump portion, the hump portion has a tapered surface inclined in a protruding direction of the protrusion portion as extending in the locking direction from a top of the hump portion, and as the protrusion portion is slid along the tapered surface to be engaged with the tapered surface, the lever is applied with a rotating force in the locking direction.

Lever connector

A fitting lever () includes housing coupling substrates () which are coupled to the outside surfaces of a first connector housing (), cam plates () which are coupled to the central parts of the housing coupling substrates (), and a lever bodywhich is an operating part to pivot the cam plates (). The cam plates () include cam grooves () into which the connector housings () are fitted with each other with pivoting, and engagement opening grooves () which make the cam plates () detachable from the connector housings when the cam plates () are moved to a pivoting final position N

A fitting lever () includes a pair of lever bodies (), shaft fitting holes () which are formed on opposed inner surface () of a pair of lever bodies () and in which lever supporting shafts () of a firs connector housing () are pivotably fitted, cam grooves () which are formed to open at the end edges of the lever bodies () at the side of a second connector housing () and which act a moving force in a fitting direction on action receiving shafts () with the pivoting of the lever bodies () when the fitting lever () is pivoted while the connector housings are aligned at a fitting start position.

Lever bodies () include first shaft introducing grooves () which introduce lever supporting shafts () of a first connector housing () to first initial engaged positions P, second shaft introducing grooves () which introduce action receiving shafts () of a second connector housing () to second initial engaged positions P, first communicating grooves () which introduce the lever supporting shafts () to pivoting fulcrum parts (), second communicating grooves () which introduce the action receiving shafts () to action receiving parts (), and shaft detaching grooves () which make the lever supporting shafts () and the action receiving shafts () escape to the outside of the lever bodies () along detachment moving traces which are different from those at the time of installing.

A fitting operation lever includes rotation fulcrum holes rotationally engaged with boss portions on a first connector housing, boss guiding grooves which enable an engagement or disengagement between the boss portions and the rotation fulcrum holes, and action point projecting portions which move from engagement starting positions on projecting portion guide groovesinside a second connector housingas the rotation of the fitting operation lever to be engaged with projection engagement projecting portionswithin the second connector housing to thereby apply a force acting in a fitting direction to the second connector housing. The rotation fulcrum holes are formed into an elliptic shape which allows a contact positions thereof with the boss portions to move when the fitting operation lever is rotated in a returning direction when the connector housings are fitted together completely.

Lever-type connector

A second connector housingto be fitted into a first connector housingis equipped with a first housingwhich holds second terminal metal fittings belonging to a first group and a second housingintegrally formed with the first housing. The second housingholds second terminal metal fittings belonging to a second group. The second housingis connected slidably to a portion located on the one side of the first housingso that during a manipulation for fitting the second connector housinginto the first connector housingfitting of the second terminal metal fittings belonging to the second group with corresponding ones of the first terminal metal fittings is completed earlier than fitting of the second terminal metal fittings belonging to the first group.

Insertion/extraction force reducing connector

In a lever type connectorin which a female connector housingis provided with a fitting operation leverfor pulling a fitting pinprojected on a male connector housingin a side of an end of a pin guide groovewith rotating operation of the fitting operation lever, the side of the end of the pin guide grooveis provided with a spring partwhich makes contact with the fitting pinof the inside of the pin guide groovein an elastic deformation state and regulates relative movement of the fitting operation leverand the fitting pinwhen fitting between the connector housings,is completed.

Lever type connector

A lever connector includes a housing, and a lever rotatably provided on the housing to be rotated in a locking direction to be disposed at a connection locking position. The lever includes support plate portions rotatably supported by both sides of the housing, each support plate portion has a protrusion portion protruding toward a side of the housing, the both sides of the housing have groove portions with which the protrusion portions of the lever at the connection locking position are engaged, each groove portion has a tapered surface inclined in a protruding direction of a protrusion portion as extending in the locking direction of the lever, and as the protrusion portions are slid along the tapered surfaces to be engaged with the tapered surfaces, respectively, the lever is applied with a rotating force in the locking direction.
