A system for controlling handover is disclosed that includes a mobile terminal that enables communications with multiple wireless systems having wireless access stations, and a handover-controlling apparatus that executes control of handover for the mobile terminal, which travels among multiple types of wireless systems. The mobile terminal includes a destination wireless system determining unit that receives downlink signals from the corresponding wireless access stations so as to determine which wireless system accommodates a destination wireless access station based on reception quality of downlink signals. The mobile terminal also includes a destination wireless system reporting unit that sends information indicating the determined wireless system to the handover-controlling apparatus. The handover-controlling apparatus includes a handover-controlling unit that controls handover operations for the mobile terminal based on the information indicating the determined wireless system, which is sent from the destination wireless system reporting unit.

System, method and apparatus for controlling mobile terminal handover

A communication control unit receives destination terminal identification information and communication software from a source communication terminal. The communication control unit installs software. Address information of another communication control unit is acquired from an externally located apparatus. The another communication control unit can be connected to a destination communication terminal corresponding to the destination terminal identification information. The destination terminal identification information and software identification information uniquely identifying the installed software is transmitted to an address of the another communication control unit included in the address information. Software identification data is transmitted to the another communication control unit. Software corresponding to the software identification data is received and installed to control a network connection of the another communication control unit.

Communication control unit and communication control method

A network control system, which controls connections between a mobile terminal and multiple types of wireless systems accommodated in a network, includes a prescribed node provided on the network. The node comprises signal transmitting/receiving means that transmits and receives a control signal defined by each of the wireless systems, protocol converting means that converts the control signal to a common protocol independent of each of the wireless systems, and entity communication controlling means that communicates with multiple functional entities provided on the network, using the common protocol, to implement network control.
