A display device includes an organic layer, an anode, a pixel defining layer, a cathode, a light emitting layer, a light blocking layer, a color filter, and a sensing electrode. The organic layer includes an anode-connecting opening. The anode is disposed on the organic layer and is partially disposed inside the anode-connecting opening. The pixel defining layer includes an anode-exposing opening that exposes the anode. The cathode overlaps the anode. The light emitting layer is between the anode and the cathode. The light blocking layer overlaps the cathode and includes a blocking layer opening. The color filter fills the blocking layer opening. The sensing electrode is at least partially covered by the light blocking layer. The anode-connecting opening overlaps with each of the sensing electrode, the pixel defining layer, and the light blocking layer in a plan view of the display device.

Light emitting display device

A light emitting display device includes a substrate, an organic layer, a conductor, an anode, and a pixel definition layer. The organic layer overlaps the substrate and has a connection opening. The conductor is positioned between the substrate and the organic layer. The anode is positioned on the organic layer and is partially positioned inside the connection opening. The pixel definition layer exposes an exposed portion of the anode. The organic layer has a halftone exposure portion and a neighboring portion. The halftone exposure portion overlaps the exposed portion of the anode and overlaps the conductor. The neighboring portion neighbors the halftone exposure portion. A face of the halftone exposure portion and a face of the neighboring portion are spaced from the substrate by a first distance and a second distance, respectively. A difference between the first distance and the second distance is 30 nm or less.

Light emitting display device and manufacturing method thereof

A display device includes a base substrate having a main area, a sub-area, and a bending area. The main area includes pixels that each include a thin film transistor having a semiconductor layer, a gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode. The display device includes a first insulating layer, a first conductive layer and a second insulating layer. The bending area includes a bending organic layer in a bending open portion. A second conductive layer is disposed on the second insulating layer and includes a source connection electrode. An encapsulation layer covers a light emitting element disposed on the second conductive layer for each of the pixels. A touch layer and a color filter layer are disposed on the encapsulation layer. The color filter layer includes a plurality of first color patterns overlapping the source connection electrode in the bending area that are separated from each other.

At least portions of the first sensing lines defining the pixel region do not overlap the common electrode in the pixel region to reduce the common electrode's influence on the touch sensing lines and improve touch sensitivity.

A light absorbing pattern is provided corresponding to the non-light transmitting areas and is configured to absorb incident light. A sensing electrode overlaps the light absorbing pattern.
