A heat dissipation simulator of a component on a printed circuit board (PCB) includes a simulation board and a simulated heat source. The simulation board includes an iron layer and a plastic layer. The simulated heat source includes a simulation chip, a thermal, and a heat sink. The simulation chip, the thermal piece, and the heat sink are mounted on the simulation board in that order. The heat dissipation simulator replaces a sample of the PCB with the component for simulating working states of the component on the PCB.

Heat dissipation simulator

A storage expansion system includes an expansion apparatus and a serial advanced technology attachment dual in-line memory module (SATA DIMM) device. A memory slot, a SATA port, a SATA signal expansion member, and a voltage converter are arranged on the expansion apparatus. The memory slot includes first power pins, first ground pins, and first signal pins connected to the SATA signal expansion member. A first edge connector is arranged on a side of the expansion apparatus. The first edge connector includes second power pins and second ground pins. The first and second power pins are connected to the voltage converter. A second edge connector is arranged on a bottom side of the SATA DIMM device. The second edge connector includes third power pins connected to a control chip and storage chips, third ground pins, and second signal pins connected to the control chip.

Storage expansion system

A secure switch module to allow only authorized keyholders to power on an electronic device includes a lock, a key matching the lock, and a power switch. The lock includes a first lock pin electrically connected to a ground pin of a motherboard of the electronic device, and a second lock pin. The power switch includes a button, a first elastic conductive sheet electrically connected to the second lock pin, and a second elastic conductive sheet electrically connected to a power on pin of the motherboard. When the key is engaged with the lock and the button is pressed, the first lock pin is electrically connected to the second lock pin, the first elastic conductive sheet is electrically connected to the second elastic conductive sheet, the power on pin receives a low level signal, and the electronic device is turned on.

Electronic device and secure switch module thereof

A mounting apparatus for an expansion card includes a bracket, a circuit board mounted in the bracket, and a latching member. The bracket includes a bottom wall, a supporting wall perpendicularly mounted on the bottom wall, and a first end wall and a second end wall extending from two opposite ends of the supporting wall along the same direction. The circuit board includes a connector. The latching member includes a first hook and a mounting piece. The latching member is slidably installed to the first end wall. The mounting piece is exposed out of the bottom wall of the bracket. The expansion card is inserted into the connector of the circuit board, a front end of the expansion card is mounted to the second end wall, and a rear end of the expansion card is latched to the first hook of the latching member.

Mounting apparatus for expansion card

A latching apparatus for a memory card includes a socket and a pair of latching members assembled on opposite ends of the socket. A cutout is defined in each end of the memory card. Each latching member includes a main body, two pivoting portions extending from opposite ends of the main body for pivotably attaching the latch member to one end of the socket, and a C-shaped locking portion extending down from a middle portion of the main body. The insertion of the memory card in the socket causes the bottom edge of the memory card to engage with distal ends of the locking portions and so rotate the latch member, until the main bodies of the latching members engage in the cutouts of the memory card.

Mounting apparatus for memory card

An electronic device includes a chassis and a handle. The chassis includes a side plate. Two first protrusions protrude from the side plate. Each first protrusion includes a neck and a head. The handle includes a main body. The main body includes two opposite end walls, and two mounting portions extending from the end walls. A first hooking slot is defined in each mounting portion. Each first hooking slot includes a first slot, and a second slot communicating with a bottom of the first slot and narrower than the first slot. A resilient tab is fastened to each end wall. A stop tab extends from each resilient tab. The first protrusions are operable to extend through the first slots and move toward the second slots. The necks engage in the second slots. The stop tabs block tops of the heads.

Electronic device with detachable handle

An assisting apparatus for unplugging a connector from a socket of an electronic device includes a fixing arm mounted to the electronic device adjacent to the socket, a press arm, and a connection piece connected between the fixing arm and the press arm. The press arm is capable of being moved to contact and press a resilient plate of the connector that is engaged with a sidewall bounding the socket to allow the resilient plate to disengage from the sidewall bounding the socket.

Electronic device having assisting apparatus for unplugging RJ-45 connector

A device for mounting a riser card includes a base board forming two rods, a motherboard forming an expansion slot to connect the riser card, and a fixing member having two legs at opposite ends. The rods extend through the motherboard and are positioned at opposite ends of the expansion slot. Each rod contains a resilient member inside, and a ball mounted to the resilient member and partly extending out of the rod. The riser card is fixed to the fixing member. Each leg defines a cylindrical hole fitted about one of the rods. The balls partly extend out of the corresponding rods and block tops of the corresponding legs.

Mounting device for riser card

A connector assembly includes a connector and a fixing plate. The connector includes a block, a connector body formed on a front surface of the block, a protrusion extending from a top of the block. The fixing plate defines an opening through which the connector body extends, and a notch communicating with the opening for the protrusion extending through. A resilient piece slantingly extends toward a first end of the opening from a second end of the opening opposite to the first end. The connector pushes the resilient piece toward the fixing plate, and then the connector is slid along the opening toward the first end of the opening, to allow the protrusion to engage with a front surface of the fixing plate. The resilient piece is restored and abuts an end wall of the block.

Electrical connector assembly

A cable clamp includes a board and a cover. The board forms a block on a top surface and at a first end of the board, and an L-shaped inserting portion on a bottom surface. A hook extends out from a second end of the board. The cover has a first end pivotably connected to the second end of the board, and a second end detachably engaged with the block.

A mounting apparatus includes a chassis, a bracket, and two resilient plates. The chassis includes two opposite sidewalls. A protrusion and a hook protrude from an inner surface of each sidewall. The bracket includes a fixing plate for mounting a number of fans, and two end plates. Each end plate defines a first slot, a second slot, a first notch communicating with a bottom of the first slot, and a second notch communicating with a bottom of the second slot. The resilient plates are mounted to inner surfaces of the end plates. Each resilient plate defines a hooking hole overlapping one of the second slots. The protrusions extend through the first notches and engage in the first slots. The hooks extend through the second notches and engage in the second slots and the hooking holes, to lock the bracket to the chassis.

Mounting apparatus for fans

A fixing apparatus for a connector includes a fixing plate and a fastener. The connector includes a main body, a block protruding from the main body, a connecting portion protruding from the block, and two protrusions respectively extending from opposite sides of the block. The fixing plate defines an opening, two notches communicating with the opening, and a positioning hole. The fastener is mounted to the main body of the connector and includes a slidable shaft. When the connecting portion and the block are extended through the opening, the protrusions are respectively extended through the notches, and the main body engages with a rear surface of the fixing plate. The connector is capable of sliding along the opening, to allow the protrusions to engage with a front surface of the fixing plate, and to allow the shaft to engage in the positioning hole.

Fixing apparatus for connector

An electronic device includes a chassis including a bottom wall, a bracket fixed to the bottom wall, a data storage assembly received in the bracket, and a connector module. The connector module includes a main body and two mounting members. The mounting members are fixed to the chassis and the bracket. The main body is slidably arranged between the mounting members. The main body includes a first side surface and a second side surface, a first signal connector and a power connector are set on the first side surface, the first signal connector is to electrically connect with a motherboard of the electronic device, the power connector is to connect with a power supply, a plurality of second signal connectors are set on the second side surface, to electrically connect with the data storage assembly.

Electronic device with connector module

A fixing apparatus for fixing a connector includes a protrusion, a fixing plate, and a fastener. The protrusion protrudes from the connector, and is located at a side of the connecting portion. The protrusion includes a head portion and a pin connected between the head portion and the connector. The fixing plate defines an opening, a first hole, a second hole communicating with the first hole, and a positioning hole. The fastener is fixed to the connector and includes an extendable shaft. When the connecting portion extends through the opening, the protrusion extends through the first hole, and the shaft abuts against the fixing plate. The connector is moved to allow the pin to enter the second hole. The head portion is blocked by the fixing plate. The shaft engages in the positioning hole.

A socket assembly includes a base and a number of sockets. The base includes a bottom wall and two sidewalls. A conductive base is formed on the bottom wall and forms at least two conductive pieces parallel to the sidewalls. An extension plate extends from the top of one of the sidewalls toward the other sidewall. A number of cutouts are defined in the bottom surface of the extension plate. Each socket includes a main body and a fixing member mounted on the top of the main body. The manipulation of the fixing member allows the repositioning of a socket within the base, or the removal of a socket.
