A display device includes: a display panel which is curved and displays an image; a cover window which is disposed on a front surface of the display panel at which the image is displayed; and a cover panel which is curved and disposed on a curved back surface of the display panel opposite to the front surface thereof. The cover panel is defined by a flat cover panel which is curved by attachment thereof to the curved back surface of the display panel, and the flat cover panel which is curved to define the cover panel includes a cutout portion therein recessed from an outer edge of the flat cover panel toward a center of the flat cover panel.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

An apparatus for manufacturing a display device includes a first jig including a first side, the first side having a concave groove for receiving a cover window, wherein the cover window includes a first planar portion, a first curved portion and a second curved portion, wherein the first and second curved portions are disposed at opposite ends of the first planar portion in a first direction, a second jig including a planar side for receiving a display panel, wherein when the second jig is moved in a second direction crossing the first direction with the display panel on the planar side, the display panel is disposed between the first and second curved portions of the cover window, and a pair of third jigs for supporting the first and second curved portions of the cover window.

Method for manufacturing a display device

A structure for a display device and a display device are provided. A structure for a display device includes a surface of which at least a portion thereof is not flat, and another surface that is flat. A display device includes: a display panel; and a structure contacting the display panel, and at least some of a first surface of the display panel may have a first curved shape, the structure may have a second surface contacting the first surface of the display panel, at least a portion of the second surface of the structure may have a second curved shape, and the structure may include a third surface that is opposite the second surface and is flat, and a driver is attached and fixed to the flat third surface of the structure.
