There are improved a vibration absorption characteristic and an impact absorption characteristic. In a suspension mechanismof the present invention, first and second dampers () are suspended in parallel between an upper frame () and a lower frame () with mounting angles different from each other. For this reason, the smaller mounting angle the damper has, the smaller a vertical component of damping force becomes, and the damping force which acts on the upper frame () and the lower frame () which move up and down relatively is moderate in effectiveness as compared with a case of disposing all the dampers at the same mounting angle. Thus, a sense of incongruity in which strong damping force acts abruptly is suppressed and the vibration absorption characteristic and the impact absorption characteristic are improved, which leads to improvement in ride comfort.

Suspension mechanism, multi-suspension mechanism and damper

An internal gear includes a thin annular portion and a thick annular portion whose outside diameters are the same and whose inside diameters are different are continuously provided integrally in an axial direction, and an outer peripheral surface of the thin annular portion and the thick annular portion is formed in a substantially L shape in a flush cross section. Therefore, a conventionally substantially convex section formed with the memory internal teeth does not become the weak point in terms of strength. An axial outer end surface of the thick annular portion of the internal gear is formed to be substantially flat, and the coupling cover member is fixed to the thick annular portion to be coupled to a frame of a seat cushion or a seat back.

Reclining device and seat

A damper includes: a line-shaped member wound around an outer peripheral surface of a piston which makes a relative motion in a cylinder; and a viscous fluid made to adhere to the line-shaped member and exhibiting viscous damping force. The relative motion of the cylinder and the piston produces tension, and in the line-shaped member, as an amplitude is smaller, its contiguously wound portions each try to deform to twist along a circumferential direction of the line-shaped member itself, and as the amplitude is larger, the contiguously wound portions try to deform as a unit. When the amplitude is small, frictional resistance decreases, resulting in smooth motion of the piston, and appropriate damping force is obtained due to the viscous damping force of the viscous fluid. When the amplitude is large, as a result of the increased tendency that the contiguously wound portions of the line-shaped member try to deform as a unit, friction damping force acts relatively greatly.

Damper

A seat slide adjuster suited to weight-saving has a structure in which two rows of engaged portions are provided at a predetermined interval in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of a locking plate that constitutes a locking mechanism, and the engaged portions engage with locking tooth parts on both sides of a lower rail during locking. Force that works between the locking plate and the lower rail acts on the locking tooth parts on both sides in a well-balanced manner and is not biased to either side. As a result, the durability of the components thereof can be improved. In addition, because two rows of hole portions in the locking plate engage, rattling of the locking plate is not likely to occur.

Seat slide adjuster

A seat slide device of the present invention comprises a lower rail () and an upper rail (). The lower rail () has a bottom wall () and includes a foreign-object catching member (). The foreign-object catching member () has an elastic body (). A height of the elastic body () with respect to a bottom wall () of the lower rail () is set to become higher than a height of a positioning pin () as a protruding object provided inside the lower rail () to protrude from the bottom wall ().

Seat slide device

A seat lifter smoothly lifts and lowers right and left seat frames relative to respective base members so that a seat can be lifted and lowered smoothly. The seat lifter has first to fourth links (to), and a coupling () that couples the first link () and the second link (), and has a first sun gear () and a second sun gear (). The first link () has a first link body () that is coupled interlockably to a first planetary gear group () with a plurality of first planetary gears (), and a planetary-gear operating section ().
