The invention provides a vending machine for dispensing hot packaged food. The vending machine includes a storage and dispenser unit comprising plural dispensing trays arranged in an array for storing one or more packaged foods, a frame, and a carrier structure. Each individual dispensing tray includes a pivotable gate and a slideway inclined by a tilting angle from a horizontal axis. The carrier structure comprises a carrying arm having an engaging feature; and an engaging mechanism for actuating the pivotable gate. The engaging mechanism is configured to move the carrying arm towards the individual dispensing tray such that the engaging feature actuates the pivotable gate from a locked position to an unlocked position. The packaged food is prevented from sliding down when the pivotable gate is at the locked position. The packaged food is slidable relative to the individual dispensing tray when the pivotable gate is at the unlocked position.

A wireless power transmitter that supplies power to a wireless power receiver. The wireless power transmitter includes a control unit, a resonator and an amplifier. The control unit generates an identification information of the wireless power transmitter. The resonator transmits power to the wireless power receiver. The amplifier drives the resonator and is controlled by the control unit such that the power transmitted by the resonator includes a first signal that carries the identification information of the wireless power transmitter. The wireless power transmitter further includes a wireless communication unit that sends a second signal having the identification information of the wireless power transmitter. The wireless communication unit receives a third signal that is generated from the wireless receiver based on the first and second signals to determine whether to establish power connection in order to prevent cross connection between the wireless power transmitter and the wireless power receiver when the wireless power receiver is not charged by the wireless power transmitter.

System and method for preventing cross connection in wireless charging

A wireless power transfer system with a class DE inverter for power transfer to a load. The wireless power transfer system includes a half-bridge circuit, a zero voltage switching (ZVS) tank, a shunt capacitor array, an evaluation circuit, and a controller. The half-bridge circuit has two transistors connected in series with each of the two transistors driven by a gate driving signal with a duty cycle. The ZVS tank and the shunt capacitor array are electrically connected with the half-bridge circuit. The ZVS tank includes two capacitors and an inductor. The shunt capacitor array has a capacitance that is tunable. The evaluation circuit calculates a power conversion efficiency of the system. The controller receives the power conversion efficiency from the evaluation circuit and generates control signals to adjust the duty cycle of the gate driving signal and to adjust the capacitance of the shunt capacitor array in order to maximize the power conversion efficiency of the system.

Disclosed is a system and method of an adaptive driving compensation for enhancing display uniformity. Multiple input data patterns of the display panel are compared with image data by an image analyzing means or a user and thereby generate display control commands if non-uniformity in the display of image is detected by the image analyzing means or the user. A difference between pixel data associated with a current line and a preceding line is compared with a predefined threshold. A look up table (LUT) is scanned to add a compensation value on the pixel data the current line based upon the display control commands if the difference between the pixel data of the current line and the preceding line is greater than the predefined threshold or otherwise retain the original value of the said pixel data. The input data patterns with compensated pixel data or original pixel data is displayed.

System and method of an adaptive driving compensation for enhancing display uniformity

A method and a display driver for compensating the perceptual bias of edge boost when driving a display panel are provided. The method can pre-process an input image to compensate for a perceptual bias of edge boost, e.g., at a contiguous group of color bands in the input image prior to sending the input image in a form of plural frames to a display panel for display. The method includes the steps of partitioning an input image into one or more grayscale regions, segmenting the grayscale regions into a plurality of color bands, detecting a subtle but perceivably significant change of color or luminance between two adjacent color bands, identifying a transition region and performing color dilution on the transition region. The display driver can include an input buffer, an image processor configured to execute the above method and an output buffer.

Method and device for compensating the perceptual bias of edge boost in a display panel

A capacitive sensing method comprising: driving a first excitation signal onto a sensor electrode, and driving a second excitation signal onto the embedded electrodes. Either the first or the second excitation signal has voltage oscillations of constant first amplitude, while the other has voltage oscillations of varying second amplitude. The second amplitude varies between a high amplitude value that is larger than the first amplitude by an amplitude difference and a low amplitude value that is smaller than the first amplitude by the same amplitude difference. The method further comprises using one or more integrators to integrate an electric current due to combined voltage oscillations of the first and the second excitation signals within an integration cycle, and generate an integrated signal for detecting a capacitive change on the sensor electrode; wherein the integration cycle comprises a plurality of voltage oscillations of the first and the second excitation signals.

Touch sensing high-low driving scheme for in-cell touch LCD display

Embodiments of an active in-cell sub-pixel in an LCD panel are provided for time multiplexing image display and touch sensing so as to reduce pin counts required in display driver integrated circuits. In one embodiment, the sub-pixel comprises a liquid crystal capacitor, a storage capacitor and an active switching element. One terminal of the liquid crystal capacitor is connectable to a data line via a thin film transistor switch. The active switching element is connected to another terminal of the liquid crystal capacitor, and is externally controllable. In one configuration, the active switching element connects the liquid crystal capacitor to a second common electrode of the panel, causing the display-driving mode to be turned on. In another configuration, the active switching element connects the liquid crystal capacitor to the data line, causing the touch-sensing mode to be turned on.

Method and apparatus for reducing pin count in in-cell touch display driver IC

A wireless power transmitter that supplies power to a load. The wireless power transmitter includes an inverter, a voltage phase detector, a current phase detector, a phase difference counter, a controller and an impedance tuning circuit. The phase difference counter counts a phase difference between the voltage phase and the current phase at the output port of the inverter. The controller receives the phase difference from the phase difference counter and generates a control signal that changes an output impedance of the inverter in response to changes of a varying impedance of the load that is coupled with the output port of the inverter wirelessly. The impedance tuning circuit receives the control signal from the controller and tunes an imaginary part of the output impedance of the inverter to zero in order to maximize a power transfer efficiency from the wireless power transmitter to the load.

Disclosed is a system and method for enhancing display uniformity at display boundaries. A memory stores multiple input data patterns comprising pixel data to be displayed for multiple display time intervals. A comparator receives input data patterns for a preceding time interval. The comparator compares the difference between a pixel data associated with a pixel of a current line and a preceding line with a predefined threshold. A display controller determines a rescan pattern corresponding to a blanking time interval between the preceding display time interval and a current display time interval by driving the pixel data using a look-up table. The display panel displays the input data patterns corresponding to current display time interval after the blanking time interval having the rescan pattern such that coherency amongst display characteristics of the current display time interval and the preceding display time interval is achieved.

System and method for enhancing display uniformity at display boundaries

A method prevents shoot-through currents and reduces body-diode conduction time in an inverter circuit by changing dead times for transistors in the inverter circuit. A sensing resistor senses temperatures of transistors in the inverter circuit. A delay generator changes delay times in response to receiving the temperatures of the transistors from the sensing resistor. A dead time generation unit changes the dead times for the transistors in response to changes in the delay times.

A method for driving a thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) panel during a display-off period is provided for avoiding image flickering when the panel resumes image display. Flickering when resuming image display is due to charge accumulated on liquid crystals (LCs) during the display-off period. For a cell having a TFT and a LC, the method releases the accumulated charge by driving a gate electrode with a VGH voltage to turn on the TFT for a short pre-determined duration regularly over the display-off period. Over the pre-determined duration, a VCOM electrode and a source electrode of the cell are also driven with a GND voltage, thereby releasing the accumulated charge from the LC as the TFT is turned on. The remaining time in the display-off period may be advantageously used for touch sensing while avoiding flickering after image display is resumed.

Method and apparatus for driving display panels during display-off periods

Driving a touch-sensing-enabled active matrix LCD display panel for enhancing touch sensing by reducing parasitic capacitances is considered. In one embodiment, a plurality of driving voltages is generated. The driving voltages include a common voltage, and a first and a second gate-drive reference voltages for configuring a thin film transistor (TFT) in the panel to switch on and off, respectively. When the panel is operated in a sensing mode, the common voltage that is generated includes a pulse-train waveform. Furthermore, each of the first and the second gate-drive reference voltages is substantially time-synchronized to and includes the pulse-train waveform of the common voltage during the sensing mode. In one option, the driving voltages further include a sensing-mode source-drive voltage acting as a source-drive signal for the TFT during the sensing mode. The sensing-mode source-drive voltage is substantially time-synchronized to and includes the pulse-train waveform of the common voltage.

A system for offset cancellation for driving a display panel includes: a plurality of source amplifiers driving the display panel; an image analyzer configured to receive a data input of an image frame and analyze the data input; and a chopping pattern controller connected with the image analyzer and configured to determine a chopping pattern that fits the data input based on analysis results of the image analyzer, and apply the determined chopping pattern to the source amplifiers. The source amplifiers are divided into N groups while the chopping pattern controller is configured to drive source amplifiers in each group by a single chopping control signal. The image analyzer is configured to generate an indicator that indicates whether image data being analyzed corresponds to a general image or one of pre-registered killer pattern images.
