Provided is a suspended type nanowire that is fixed and electrically connected to each of a first electrode disposed on a substrate and a second electrode disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from the first electrode and suspended on the substrate. Here, a cross-section in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the suspended type nanowire includes at least one curved part, and the curve part includes a reference surface and at least one side surface extending downward from the reference surface.

Suspended type nanowire and manufacturing method thereof

A switching device in accordance with the present invention includes a first electrode and a second electrode, and the second electrode includes a body part and a cantilever connected to the body part. In addition, one end of a the cantilever comes into contact with the first electrode by an electrostatic force generated by a voltage applied to the first electrode and the second electrode, and the one end of the cantilever is separated from the first electrode due to heat generated by a voltage applied to both ends of the body part. In addition, the second electrode may include a 2-1 electrode, a 2-2 electrode, and an engineered beam connected in between. The engineered beam comes into contact with the first electrode on the basis of thermal expansion due to heat generated by a current flowing between the body part of the 2-1 electrode and the body part of the 2-2 electrode, or is separated from the first electrode on the basis of thermal expansion due to heat generated by a current flowing through both ends of the body parts of the 2-1 electrode and the 2-2 electrode. According to the present invention, it is possible to achieve high-speed operation while having ultralow power, high reliability through exploiting nano thermal actuation method capable of high-speed thermal expansion and actuation at low operation voltage.

Electro-thermally actuated mechanical switching device and memory device using same

Provided is an electrostatic drive switch, which includes a source plate to which a voltage for driving the electrostatic drive switch is applied and a drain electrode spaced apart from the source plate. The source plate includes a source electrode and an elastic part connected to the source electrode, and a first material and a second material having lower hardness than the first material are provided on the source electrode. When the source electrode and the drain electrode are electrically connected to each other by the voltage, the second material is brought into contact with the drain electrode by the elastic part after the first material is brought into contact with the drain electrode by the elastic part.

A touch input device which detects a touch position and a touch pressure magnitude may be provided that includes: a display module; a first electrode and a second electrode which are disposed on the display module and are spaced apart from each other; a spacer layer which is formed on the display module and covers the first electrode and the second electrode; and a transparent ground electrode which is disposed on the spacer layer and is formed of a material having transparency. A distance between the transparent ground electrode and the display module is changed by inputting a touch on the transparent ground electrode, and a capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode is changed by the distance change. The position of the touch and the pressure magnitude of the touch are detected based on the changed capacitance.

Touch input device

A pressure sensor includes a substrate whose top surface is formed in the form of a projection, a first electrode formed on one side of the top surface of the substrate, a second electrode formed on the other side of the top surface and spaced apart from the first electrode; and a dielectric material layer formed on the top surface of the substrate and fills a space between the first electrode and the second electrode. A pressure applied in a direction perpendicular to the top surface of the substrate causes a change in the dielectric constant of the dielectric material layer. The magnitude of the pressure is sensed by detecting a capacitance which changes according to the change in the dielectric constant. The projection forms a stress concentration structure, through which the dielectric constant change amount according to the pressure becomes larger, thereby improving sensitivity of the pressure sensor.

A display apparatus may be provided that includes: a transparent display panel; a blind panel which is disposed adjacent to the transparent display panel and includes a plurality of cells that are individually drivable; and a controller which changes an operation mode through an on/off of the transparent display panel and a selective drive of a cell included in the blind panel. As a result, the display apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention is a transparent display apparatus using the OLED. The display apparatus is able to operate without the external environmental constraints and to operate in various modes including the display function.

Provided are improved manufacturing methods of semiconductor devices, probe cards, test apparatuses including the probe card, and methods for manufacturing probe cards. The probe card includes a circuit board, a support located under the circuit board, and a plurality of probe needles located on a bottom surface of the support. Each of the probe needles has a tip configured to contact a side surface of a bump included in a test target. The support may include a stress absorption layer located on a bottom surface to which the probe needles are connected. Manufacturing of semiconductor devices may comprise forming elongated conductive bumps on a body of a semiconductor device, testing the semiconductor device by contacting tips of the probe needles to sides surfaces of the bumps and packaging of the semiconductor device.

Probe card, test apparatus including the probe card, and related methods of manufacturing

A display device including a light source and a light guide plate may be provided. The light guide plate includes: a light guiding part which guides light incident on a side thereof from the light source by total internal reflection; a fine pattern portion which emits the guided light only to an upper portion of the light guiding part; a guard ring portion which protects the fine pattern portion from the intrusion of impurities; and a light emitting member which is disposed on a top surface of the fine pattern portion and a top surface of the guard ring portion. The light guide plate is formed of a transparent material.

Provided are a light guide member, a lighting apparatus including the light guide member, and a method of fabricating the light guide member. The light guide member comprises: a body, which is formed as a transparent plate, including a first surface and a second surface facing the first surface; and a plurality of dimple type optical controllers formed beneath at least one of the first surface and the second surface and having reflective surfaces that reflect light proceeding between the first and second surfaces of the body toward at least one of the first and second surfaces.

Disclosed are a light guide plate and a backlight unit. The backlight unit according to the present invention includes: a light guide plate; a light source disposed on one side of the light guide plate; and a reflective plate disposed under the light guide plate, wherein, in the cross section of one side of the light guide plate, the light guide plate includes a plurality of unit slits including a first slit and a second slit, wherein the first slit and the second slit are inclined from a top surface toward the inside of the light guide plate with respect to a vertical direction of the top surface, and wherein the first slit and the second slit are symmetrical to each other with respect to the middle portion of the unit slit.

Disclosed is a method for manufacturing 3-dimensional structure using a thin film with a columnar nano pores and a manufacture thereof. A method for packaging an MEMS device or an NEMS device in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: forming a sacrificial layer; forming a thin film having columnar nano pores formed therein by depositing one of a metallic material, an oxide, a nitride and a fluoride on the sacrificial layer; forming a support layer on the thin film and patterning the support layer; removing the sacrificial layer through use of the nano pores of the thin film parts of which are exposed by patterning the support layer; and forming a shielding layer on the thin film and the support layer.

Method for manufacturing 3-dimensional structures using thin film with columnar nano pores and manufacture thereof

A display device is provided. The display device includes: a substrate including a unit display area, a fixing member that is formed on the substrate and that is electrically isolated, an insulating layer that is formed on the fixing member, a fixing electrode that is formed on the insulating layer and that is electrically connected to a power source, and a plurality of moving members with one end fixed to the insulating layer and positioned apart by a distance from the fixing electrode. The plurality of moving members and the fixing electrode are positioned within the unit display area.

There is provided a see-through display device. A see-through display device comprises a liquid crystal plate filled with liquid crystals; first and second orientation plates respectively positioned on upper and lower surfaces of the liquid crystal plate, and controlling an initial alignment state of the liquid crystals; first and second conductive plates respectively positioned on an upper surface of the first orientation plate and a lower surface of the second orientation plate, and being filled with a conductive material; first and second transparent plates respectively positioned on an upper surface of the first conductive plate and a lower surface of the second conductive plate; first and second polarizing plates respectively positioned on an upper surface of the first transparent plate and a lower surface of the second transparent plate; and a transparent light guide plate spaced apart from a lower surface of the second polarizing plate, and allowing beams incident from a light source positioned at one side thereof to be totally reflected and emitted upward. Accordingly, a see-through display device comprises a transparent optical display device and a transparent light guide plate having a light source disposed at one side thereof, so that the display device can be optically transparent even when it is not operated.

Provided is a method of manufacturing an all-in-one type light guide plate. The method includes: fabricating a master including a plurality of inverse-prism shape structures; forming an elastic mold by applying an elastomer on the master; and fabricating the all-in-one type light guide plate, on which a plurality of inverse-prism shape structures are integrally formed, by applying a light transmissive material on the elastic mold.
