Disclosed are a power interruption method and a power interruption device based on power phase measurement and arc detection and a method thereof and disclosed are a power interruption method and a power interruption device which accurately determine, when a value measured by a current transformer (CT), a voltage detector, etc., is input into the main control unit, whether the measured value is a value equal to or more than a predetermined threshold through a comparison between phases of voltage and current to effectively prepare for a disaster such as preventing fire or protecting a subsequent circuit by a rapid and accurate power interruption by arc at a load side.

Provided is a black box apparatus for analyzing a cause of arc interruption including: a controller which is installed on a power supply line and receives data detected from a CT detecting a current, a ZCT detecting a short circuit, and a voltage detector detecting a voltage; and an interruption unit which interrupts a power supply by receive a signal from the controller to operate a switch, in which the controller includes a calculation unit calculating data detected from the CT, the ZCT, and the voltage detector; a determination unit determining whether the arc occurs using the result of the calculation unit; and a storage unit storing data up to a predetermined time before the operation when the interruption unit operates to interrupt the power supply. Therefore, it is possible to accurately analyze reproduction for preventing occurrence of electrical fires and a cause of the arc interruption and determine an unstable condition of a power supply device which instantaneously occurs.

A composite electric circuit breaker, and method thereof, is configured to detect signals regarding arc faults, overcurrent, and earth leakage. Arcs and electric currents are detected by a current transformer and earth leakage is detected by a zero phase current transformer. A variation of electric current, the number of arcs which are generated per a unit time, a present electric current value, and electric current earth leakage are combined to judge whether arc faults occur to then interrupt an electric power supply. Temperature is measured on a printed circuit board, and if temperature rise occurs, the electric power supply is interrupted, and an interruption cause is displayed. Electric accidents and occurrence of fires are prevented simultaneously and more accurately. The interruption causes can be confirmed, analyzed and externally monitored through a network, to thus maximize efficiency of electric management.

Composite type electric circuit breaker and method thereof

An arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) device prevents malfunction of an electric circuit and checks the state of the circuit and connection state of lines. One of a phase conductor line and a neutral conductor line is wound around a transformer which converts a current difference flowing in the AC line into voltage to detect whether an arc fault occurs, and a voltage induced by the wound line is rectified into direct-current and is converted into constant voltage to obtain power for the AFCI. An arc wave generator includes a rectifier to generate a rectified signal; a drop resistor which drops the voltage of the rectified signal to generate a voltage-dropped signal; and a mono-stable multivibrator which adjusts a voltage level and a pulse width of the voltage-dropped signal and generates a pulse signal that is used to generate a false arc for testing the AFCI.

AFCI device

Apparatus includes an arc wave generator for testing an arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) for use in a test system for testing whether or not an arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) is operating normally, in which a false arc is generated for use in testing the arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI). The arc wave generator includes a rectifier which receives a commercial power source as an input source and rectifies alternating-current voltage of the commercial power source to generate a rectified signal. A drop resistor drops the voltage of the rectified signal to generate a voltage-dropped signal. A mono-stable multivibrator adjusts a voltage level and a pulse width of the voltage-dropped signal and generates a pulse signal which is used to generate a false arc for testing the arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI). Thus, a false arc is generated with a simple circuit to accurately test the actions of the arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI).

A resistive bolometer sensor is provided, in which a fixed resistor is replaced with a sensor resistor to reduce an error of an output value due to temperature variation, thereby improving sensitivity. The resistive bolometer sensor comprises: a sensing unit for sensing an infrared ray, the sensing unit including a sensor resistor and three compensation sensor resistors; a supporting unit for supporting the sensing unit, for controlling heat transfer to the outside; and a silicon rim supporting the overall elements of the sensor, for reflecting an external temperature, wherein the sensor resistor senses a resistance value by incident infrared ray, and the three compensation sensor resistors have a bridge structure with the sensor resistor and senses a environmental temperature to compensate a resistance value that varies in accordance with temperature variation.

Resistive bolometer sensor

Infrared sensor that can make a temperature compensation by itself, and method for compensating a temperature thereof, are disclosed. The infrared sensor preferably includes a substrate, a diaphragm formed on the substrate, and a first thermopile sensor formed on a region of the diaphragm for sensing an infrared radiation emitted from a measured object and infrared radiations emitted from regions other than the measured object. A second thermopile sensor is formed on a region of the diaphragm and connected to the first thermopile sensor for sensing the infrared radiations emitted from the regions other than the measured object. A housing protects a front face of the substrate including the first, and second thermopile sensors includes an infrared filter in the housing over the first and second thermopile sensors for transmission of infrared radiations, and a reflector reflects the infrared radiation emitted from the measured object toward the first thermopile sensor. The method for temperature compensation can include the steps of letting an infrared radiation from a measured object be directed to the first thermopile sensor and letting infrared radiations from regions other than the measured object be directed to the first and second thermopile sensors, respectively, sensing the infrared radiations in the first and second thermopile sensors directed thereto, and making a temperature compensation for the infrared radiations from regions other than the measured object using the first and second thermopile sensors to provide a temperature component of the measured object only.
