A machine tool management system includes a machine tool, a memory, a display, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to record, in the memory, a time point at which detection information with respect to a machine tool is detected and the detection information corresponding to the time point; determine selected detection information among the detection information to satisfy a determination condition; record, in the memory, the selected detection information corresponding to the time point; display a list of the selected detection information according to predetermined display items; extract from the memory at least part of the detection information including one of the selected detection information corresponding to one display item selected among the display items listed on the display; and to display a graph of a change over time in data included in the at least part of the detection information.

Machine tool management system and method for managing machine tool

A controller includes a determination circuit, a setting circuit, and a control circuit. The determination circuit is configured to determine whether a chatter vibration is occurring while a spindle is rotating and a workpiece is being cut. The setting circuit is configured to set an upper limit and a lower limit on a change amount of a rotational speed of the spindle. The control circuit is configured to determine the change amount randomly from a range between the upper limit and the lower limit and configured to rotate the spindle at a second rotational speed obtained by changing a first rotational speed by the change amount that has been determined if the chatter vibration is determined as occurring while the control circuit controls the rotational speed of the spindle at the first rotational speed.

A tool magazine includes a magazine arm and a gripper plate. The magazine arm has a tool pot to hold a tool. The magazine arm is pivotable around a pivotal axis such that the tool pot pivots around the pivotal axis. The gripper plate has at least one gripper to hold the tool at a holding position on a circular arc track along which the tool moves when the magazine arm pivots. The at least one gripper is open in a tangent direction of the circular arc track at the holding position.
