A stator unit included in a motor includes a base member, an armature, a circuit board, and a mold resin portion. The base member extends substantially perpendicularly to a vertically extending center axis. The armature and the circuit board are positioned above the base member. The circuit board is electrically connected to the armature. The mold resin portion covers the armature and the circuit board. In a process of forming the mold resin portion, the base member is supported by a first mold. Then, the first mold is joined to a second mold such that a cavity is provided therebetween. In this step, the second mold is pressed against a projection provided on an upper surface of the base member and on a radially outer side with respect to the circuit board in plan view. The projection thus pressed is squashed. Subsequently, molten resin is injected into the cavity.

Stator unit, motor, and method of manufacturing stator unit

A stator unit included in a motor includes a base member, an armature, a circuit board, and a mold resin portion. The base member extends substantially perpendicularly to a vertically extending center axis. The armature and the circuit board are positioned above the base member. The circuit board is electrically connected to the armature. The mold resin portion covers the armature and the circuit board. In a process of forming the mold resin portion, the base member is firstly supported by a first mold.

A blower apparatus includes a motor portion having a central axis extending in a vertical direction; an impeller arranged above the motor portion, joined to a rotating portion of the motor portion, and arranged to rotate to send a gas from above radially outward; an impeller cover portion including an inner surface arranged to cover an outer circumference of the impeller and an upper side of an outer edge portion of the impeller, and further including an air inlet defined in a center thereof; a body cover portion joined to the impeller cover portion, arranged to cover an outer circumference of the motor portion, and arranged to define a tubular space between the body cover portion and a housing tubular portion defining an outer surface of the motor portion and extending in the vertical direction to assume a tubular shape; and a plurality of guide vanes arranged in a circumferential direction in the tubular space, and each of which is arranged to extend in a radial direction between an inner surface of the body cover portion and the housing tubular portion. Each of the guide vanes includes a guide vane upper portion arranged on an upper side, and a guide vane lower portion arranged on a lower side of the guide vane upper portion. The guide vane upper portion is inclined to a greater degree with respect to an axial direction than the guide vane lower portion. A lower end of the guide vane is arranged forward of an upper end of the guide vane with respect to a rotation direction of the impeller. The lower end of at least one of the guide vanes is arranged above a lower end of the housing tubular portion.

Blower apparatus and vacuum cleaner

A blower apparatus includes a motor portion having a central axis extending in a vertical direction; an impeller arranged above the motor portion, joined to a rotating portion of the motor portion, and arranged to rotate to send a gas from above radially outward; an impeller cover portion including an inner surface arranged to cover an outer circumference of the impeller and an upper side of an outer edge portion of the impeller, and further including an air inlet defined in a center thereof; and a body cover portion joined to the impeller cover portion, arranged to cover an outer circumferential surface of the motor portion, and arranged to define a tubular space between the motor portion and the body cover portion. The tubular space includes an upper region and a lower region arranged below the upper region. A radial distance between the outer circumferential surface of the motor portion and an inner circumferential surface of the body cover portion is arranged to continuously decrease with decreasing height in the upper region, and continuously increase with decreasing height in the lower region. The radial distance is arranged to be greater at an upper end of the upper region than at a lower end of the lower region.

A motor includes an impeller including a plurality of blades arranged in a circumferential direction and fixed to a shaft between a cover portion and an armature. The cover portion includes at least one cover portion through hole arranged to axially overlap with the blades. A cylindrical portion includes at least one cylindrical portion through hole arranged to radially overlap with the blades.

Motor including housing structure with through holes

A fan includes a first motor portion, a first impeller fixed to a first rotating portion of the first motor portion, a second motor portion arranged along a central axis of the first motor portion, a second impeller fixed to a second rotating portion of the second motor portion, a tubular wind channel portion arranged to surround the first and second impellers, and support ribs arranged to join the wind channel portion to the first and second motor portions. The first impeller includes first blades arranged in a circumferential direction about the central axis and the second impeller includes second blades arranged in the circumferential direction, a rotation direction of the second impeller is opposite to a rotation direction of the first impeller. A surface of each first blade which faces the second impeller is concave. A surface of each second blade which faces the first impeller is concave.

Serial axial fan

In a ventilation fan of inner rotor type in which a shaft is fixed to a motor supporting portion, the shaft is held by a shaft holding portion preferably provided by, for example, a metal member. The shaft holding portion includes a cylindrical portion which is fixed to a resin of the motor supporting portion preferably by being embedded through insert molding and into which the shaft is inserted, and a shaft holding flange portion extending outwards in the radial direction from either one of an upper end or a lower end of the cylindrical portion.

Ventilation fan

A motor includes a coming-off preventing portion including an inner circumferential edge defining a through hole, inside which a substantially cylindrical bearing housing is inserted, and being arranged axially above an insulator. The inner circumferential edge has at least two different radial dimensions. A boss portion includes a columnar portion inserted inside the through hole, and a collar portion extending radially outward from a lower end of the columnar portion. The collar portion includes an outside surface having at least two different radial dimensions, and an upper surface arranged axially opposite a bottom portion of the inner circumferential edge. The radial dimensions of the inner circumferential edge and those of the collar portion are arranged to allow the collar portion to be axially inserted through the inner circumferential edge only when the inner circumferential edge and the collar portion are arranged in a predetermined circumferential orientation relative to each other.
