An exemplary embodiment of active/passive automotive fuse module in accordance with the present disclosure may include an electrically insulating base, a fuse plate including a bus bar portion disposed on a top surface of the base above a projectile cavity formed in the base, the fuse plate further including a fusible portion electrically connected to the bus bar portion and adapted to open when an amount of current flowing through the fuse plate exceeds a current rating of the active/passive automotive fuse module, the active/passive automotive fuse module further including a pyrotechnic interrupter (PI) disposed atop the base and including a projectile positioned above the bus bar portion, the PI configured to drive the projectile through the bus bar portion upon actuation of the PI.

Active/passive automotive fuse module

A fuse module including a mounting block formed of an electrically insulating material, the mounting block having a rear wall extending from a base, a fuse plate including an electrically conductive bus bar disposed adjacent a rear surface of the rear wall, a fusible element electrically connected to the bus bar and disposed adjacent a front surface of the rear wall, and a fuse terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending onto a top of the base. The fuse module may further include an electrically conductive terminal post extending from the top of the base through the fuse terminal for facilitating connection to an electrical component.

Low profile integrated fuse module

A fuse module including a mounting block formed of an electrically insulating material, the mounting block including a base portion and a wall portion disposed in a perpendicular relationship, the fuse module further including a fuse plate including an electrically conductive bus bar disposed on a bottom of the base portion, a fusible element electrically connected to the bus bar and disposed adjacent a front of the wall portion, and a fuse terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and disposed on a top of the base portion, the fuse module further including an electrically conductive terminal post extending from the top of the base portion and through the fuse terminal for facilitating connection to an electrical component.

A vertical surface mount device pass-through fuse including an electrically insulating fuse body, a fusible element disposed on a first side of the fuse body and extending between first and second terminals, an electrically insulating cap having a domed portion and a flanged portion extending from the domed portion, the domed portion disposed over the fusible element, and the flanged portion affixed to the fuse body, and a conductive lead frame having a bow portion and an elongate shank portion extending from the bow portion, wherein the bow portion is disposed on the cap and is connected to the first terminal, and wherein the shank portion extends away from the fuse body.

Vertical surface mount device pass-through fuse

A fuse module including a mounting block formed of an electrically insulating material, a fuse plate including a fusible element disposed on a bottom surface of the mounting block, a fuse terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending along rear and top surfaces of the mounting block, and an input terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending from a front surface of the mounting block, the fuse module further including an electrically conductive terminal post extending from the top surface of the mounting block through the fuse terminal for facilitating connection to an electrical component.

Integrated fuse module

A fuse module including a mounting block formed of an electrically insulating material, the mounting block including a rear wall extending from a base, a fuse plate including an electrically conductive bus bar disposed on a bottom of the base, a fusible element electrically connected to the bus bar and disposed adjacent a rear of the rear wall, and a fuse terminal electrically connected to the fusible element and extending over a top of the rear wall, along a front of the rear wall, and onto a top of the base, the fuse module further including an electrically conductive terminal post extending from the top of the base through the fuse terminal for facilitating connection to an electrical component.

A fuse including a housing having upper and lower portions, a plurality of terminal portions disposed in the lower portion, each of said terminal portions having first and second prongs and a gap therebetween, the gap narrowing from a first width adjacent an upper end of said first and second prongs to a second width adjacent a lower end of said first and second prongs, a fusible link disposed in the upper portion of the housing between said plurality of terminal portions, and a partition in said lower portion of said housing, wherein a distance between each of the second prongs and the partition increases from a first end of each of the second prongs proximate the upper portion to a second end of each of the second prongs distal from the upper portion for allowing the second ends to be displaced toward the partition before engaging the partition.

Tuning fork terminal slow blow fuse

A fuse module including an battery clamp, a fuse assembly including a mounting block, a bus bar on a first side of the mounting block in contact with the battery clamp, fuse terminals on a second side of the mounting block connected to the bus bar by fusible elements, and a terminal post extending through one of the fuse terminals for facilitating electrical connection to a first electrical component, the fuse module further including a mounting cradle holding the fuse assembly and the battery clamp, the mounting cradle including a mounting post extending through the battery clamp, the bus bar, the mounting block, and one of the fuse terminals for facilitating connection to a second electrical component and for securing the fuse module components together, wherein the mounting post is surrounded by a tubular sleeve extending between the bus bar and the fuse terminal through which the mounting post extends.

Battery terminal fuse module

A circuit protection assembly includes a mounting block, a unitary fuse assembly, a post assembly and a plug connector. The unitary fuse assembly is disposed the mounting block and includes a plurality of fuses each of which is defined by a portion of a bus plate disposed on the lower surface of the mounting block to form a first terminal of the fuse, a second terminal disposed at least partially on the upper surface of the mounting block and a fuse element connecting the first terminal and the second terminal. The post assembly is disposed at least partially within the mounting block and a post extending from the block. The plug connector extends from a portion of the first terminal of at least one of the plurality of fuses.

A power distribution module for a vehicle includes an insulating housing including a component grid, the component grid defining a plurality of circuit protection footprints, the housing further including at least one connector mount or terminal mating location; a printed circuit board ('PCB') located within the housing and beneath the component grid, the PCB holding a plurality of fuse mounting terminals and at least one connector mounting terminal, the PCB including a plurality of conducting traces connecting the fuse mounting terminals to the at least one connector mounting terminal; and a cover that threadingly engages the housing, the threading engagement leading to a locking of the cover to the housing that tends to prevent the cover from loosening from the housing when the vehicle is being driven, the locking of the cover able to be overcome by a person so that the cover can be unthreaded readily from the housing.
