Securing devices are shown and disclosed. In one embodiment, the securing device includes a base having a first channel. The securing device additionally includes a pair of clamp members received in the first channel. The securing device further includes an actuator member that is received in the first channel and that enables a user to simultaneously move the pair of clamp members toward or away from each other.

A multisided heat spreader includes a base, a first wall, and a second wall. A proximal end of the first wall is connected to a first end of the base. A proximal end of the second wall is connected to a second end of the base which is opposite to the first end of the base. A space is defined adjacent to a first surface of the base and between the first wall and the second wall such that the multisided heat spreader is open between a distal end of the first wall and a distal end of the second wall. The first wall and the second wall are configured to receive an electronic component in the space therebetween. A second surface of the base is configured to be attached to a heat generation component. The first surface of the base is opposite to the second surface of the base.

A fan receiver assembly () includes a fan receiver (). The fan receiver includes a rear wall () and at least one sidewall (). At least one deformable clasp () is coupled to, and translatable along, the sidewall. The deformable clasp includes at least one latching arm () that is pivotable between an axially displaced open position occurring when the latching arm extends beyond a terminal end sidewall and a parallel position occurring when the latching arm is situated between the terminal end and the rear wall. The sidewall defines a d-track () having a terminal end () and an outward notch (). A follower situates within the d-track between the deformable clasp and the sidewall. A fan module () latches to the fan receiver assembly when the follower situates within the outward notch.

Support bracket and support bracket assemblies for a peripheral component interconnect (PCI) card are shown and disclosed. In one embodiment, the support bracket includes a first planar member having opposed first and second end portions, and a second planar member attached to, or formed with, the second end portion. The second planar member is perpendicular to the first planar member and is attachable to an I/O PCI bracket. The support bracket additionally includes a ledge attached to, or formed with, the first planar member. The ledge extends between the first and second end portions and is perpendicular to the first and second planar members. The ledge is sized to support an end portion of the PCI card when the PCI card is attached to the I/O PCI bracket and when the second planar member is attached to the I/O PCI bracket.

A fan () includes a housing () defining a duct (). A spindle () can be concentrically located about a central axis within the duct. One or more fan blades () extending radially from the spindle toward a surface of the duct. Each fan blade is pivotable about a radial axis () between a closed position () where the each fan blade is in contact with each adjacent fan blade and an axially displaced open position () where the each fan blade is physically separated from the each adjacent fan blade. This prevents recirculation of air if a fan should fail.

A chassis cover includes a cover member having a first edge and a second edge. The cover member also includes at least one latch member. The latch member or members include a cantilever arm extending distally outward from an interior of the cover member beyond the first edge by a first distance, and terminating at a loop. A latch arm extends distally inward from the loop a second distance, which may be greater than the first distance. A latching tab extends distally from an end of the latch arm.

The invention provides improved mounting apparatus for storage media device with respect to a chassis such as the housing of a broadcast data receiver. A fan assembly () includes a chassis portion () and a fan receiver () coupled to the chassis portion at a first end () of the fan receiver. A fan receiver sidewall defines an inner surface (), an outer surface (), a receiving opening (), and a central axis (). The inner surface can include at least one insertion guiderail key () oriented substantially parallel with the central axis. The outer surface can include a threaded male member () at a second end () of the fan receiver. A fan module () can nest within the fan receiver sidewall, retained therein by a vented endcap () that couples to the threaded male member with a threaded connection.

A pivotable fan assembly includes a mounting frame, a panel, and a bracket. The panel can be coupled to the mounting frame at a first edge. The panel can pivot about the mounting frame between a first position and an angularly displaced second position. At least one fan assembly can be coupled to the bracket, which extends distally from the panel with a first pair of adjacent sides of the fan assembly bounded by the panel and the bracket and a second pair of adjacent sides of the fan assembly unbounded and exposed. When attached to a chassis cover, the panel can pivot to expose the fan assembly for tool-less replacement.
