A cementing pod is disclosed. The cementing pod includes a cylindrical housing with a first end and a second end, and a throughbore disposed through the cylindrical housing in a first axial direction from the first end to the second end. The cementing pod further includes a plurality of openings disposed through the cylindrical housing into the throughbore in a second axial direction, and a solid fill disposed at the second end of the cylindrical housing.

A clamp system for hot-tapping tubulars includes a saddle having a saddle body with an inner surface, an outer surface, and an opening extending from the inner surface to the outer surface, a metal protrusion extending from the inner surface of the saddle body to provide a metal seal, an elastomer seal coupled to the inner surface of the saddle body adjacent to the metal protrusion, and a nipple integrally formed with the saddle body and extending outwardly from the outer surface of the saddle body, the nipple positioned over the opening of the saddle body, and a clamp having a nipple opening configured to receive the nipple, the clamp formed separately from the saddle. A method includes positioning the saddle on a tubular and assembling the clamp around the saddle and the tubular including inserting the nipple through the nipple opening formed in the clamp.

Embodiments for determining a stuck pipe location include determining that a pipe is stuck in a wellbore due to an obstruction; deploying a fiber optic stuck pipe location detector inside the pipe, activating a first fiber optic sensor to detect a baseline reading, and manipulating the pipe. Some embodiments include detecting micro-noises caused by the stretching of the pipe, wirelessly acquiring data related to the micro-noises from the first fiber optic sensor, and determining a location of the obstruction by comparing the baseline reading with the data related to the micro-noises. Some embodiments include recovering the pipe at a predetermined point around the location of the obstruction while leaving the first fiber optic sensor inside the pipe.

Determining a stuck pipe location

An assembly for indicating a window milling progress and a casing exit trajectory in a well may include a cylindrical housing having an inclined plane that extends along a central axis thereof. The inclined plane may extend from a lower end to an upper end of the cylindrical housing. The assembly may include an indicating device. The indicating device may include a cylindrical body having a surface that faces in a downward direction. The indicating device may include a plurality of anchor slips located on a curved rectangular side of the cylindrical body. The indicating device may include a set of inserts located at predetermined locations along a length of the curved rectangular side of the cylindrical body. The assembly may include a coupling mechanism that connects the indicating device to the cylindrical housing.
