Embodiments presented provide for a sealed connector for use in high gas pressure applications. The sealed connector may provide for electrical signals and power to be transmitted along a cable to a downhole apparatus, such as those used in hydrocarbon recovery operations. The sealed connector includes a body having a first body portion and a second body portion, where the first body portion includes an interior cavity having a connection portion and a sealing surface, and the second body portion is comprised of an elastomer having a bore. The elastomer of the second body portion is bonded to the first body portion, and an insert is disposed within the body. A wire is configured to extend through the bore of the second body portion, the elastomer of the second body portion seals against the wire, and the wire is coupled to the insert.

A system is provided that includes a tool of a battery installation and retrieval system. The tool includes a tray configured to support a battery and a battery drive assembly. The battery drive assembly includes a battery positioner used to move along an axial path of travel and a battery interconnect configured to couple the battery to the battery positioner. The battery drive assembly may also include a battery drive coupled to the battery positioner used to actuate the battery positioner to move the battery along the axial path of travel between a transfer state on the tray and a storage state in a battery rack.

A downhole borehole imaging tool and methods for determining a borehole size includes a magnetoresistive system and a hub moveably coupled to a fixed tool string. The hub includes a magnet. The magnetoresistive system includes magnetoresistive sensors disposed within the fixed tool string and segregated from the magnet. During operation, a routine scan of all sensors measures, for example, the output voltage V, angle &#x3b8; of magnetic field, and temperature. Measurements from each sensor may then be characterized to account for temperature and input voltages variation of the sensors. Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for minimizing deceleration of downhole tools when the downhole tools are pumped down into wellbores through drill pipe in an untethered manner. For example, embodiments described herein include a hydraulic downhole tool deceleration system that includes a hydraulic decelerator configured to be affixed to a downhole tool string pumped down through drill pipe during operation. The hydraulic decelerator is configured to contact a hard shoulder while traveling through the drill pipe, and to limit an initial magnitude of deceleration of the downhole tool string caused at the initial moment of contact of the hydraulic decelerator against the hard shoulder.

Embodiments described herein provide a multi-diameter thrust device that includes one or more thrust cups. Each thrust cup of the one or more thrust cups includes a first axial end hub disposed at a first axial end of the thrust cup; a second axial end hub disposed at a second axial end of the thrust cup; and a plurality of bowsprings. Each bowspring of the plurality of bowsprings includes a first axial end portion coupled to the first axial end hub and a second axial end portion coupled to the second axial end hub. A method for determining a depth related parameter of an instrument in a wellbore includes measuring movement of the instrument along the wellbore using a wheel sensor urged into contact with a wall of the wellbore. Movement of an instrument conveyance is measured proximate the surface. Measurements from the wheel sensor are calibrated using measurements of movement of the instrument conveyance. The depth related parameter of the instrument is determined using the calibrated wheel sensor measurements.
