The invention relates to a composition comprising: a) a polyhydroxyalkanoate copolymer comprising the following polymeric units A, B and C: —[—O—CH(R1)—CH—CO—]-unit A —[—O—CH(R2)—CH—CO—]-unit B —[—O—CH(R3)—CH—CO—]-unit C in which: R1 denotes a linear alkyl radical having from 5 to 9 carbon atoms; R2 denotes a linear alkyl radical having a carbon number corresponding to the number of carbon atoms of the R1 radical −2; R3 denotes a linear alkyl radical having a carbon number corresponding to the number of carbon atoms of the R1 radical −4; b) an oily medium comprising a non-silicone oil chosen from ester oils, carbonate oils and nonpolar hydrocarbon oils having from 8 to 14 carbon atoms.

Dispersion of polymer particles in a non-aqueous medium and cosmetic use thereof

The invention relates to a cosmetic process for treating keratin materials, comprising: either the sequential application to the keratin materials of a composition comprising a maleic anhydride ethylenic polymer and of an amine compound chosen from polyamine compounds bearing several primary amine and/or secondary amine groups and amino alkoxysilanes, or the topical application to the keratin materials of a composition derived from the mixing of a composition comprising a maleic anhydride acrylic polymer and of an amine compound chosen from amino alkoxysilanes; the ethylenic polymer being derived from the polymerization of: (a) 45% to 95% by weight, relative to the total weight of monomers, of an ethylenic monomer bearing an at least C8 linear or branched alkyl group; (b) 5% to 25% by weight of maleic anhydride; (c) 0 to 50% by weight of additional monomer; the compositions used being anhydrous when the amine compound is an amino alkoxysilane. The process makes it possible to obtain a film-forming deposit that has good resistance to water, to oil and to sebum. The film is also non-tacky and transfer-resistant.

Process for treating keratin fibres with an ethylenicpolymer bearing a maleic anhydride group and a polyol The invention relates to a cosmetic process for treating keratin fibres, comprising the application to the keratin fibres of a mixture of a maleic anhydride ethylenic polymer, a liposoluble polyol and an amine catalyst; said maleic anhydride ethylenic polymer being obtained by polymerization of: (a) 25% to 95% by weight, relative to the total weight of monomers, of an ethylenic monomer bearing an at least C8 linear or branched alkyl group; (b) 5% to 25% by weight of maleic anhydride; (c) 0% to 50% by weight of additional (meth)acrylate monomer; and a step of heating the keratin fibres to a temperature ranging from 90&#xb0; C. to 250&#xb0; C. The invention also relates to the crosslinked polymer obtained by reacting said ethylenic polymer with said liposoluble polyol. The treated keratin fibres have good water-resistant fixing properties.

Process for treating keratin fibres with an ethylenic polymer bearing a maleic anhydride group and a polyol

Provided is a dispersion of polymer particles, wherein the polymer is surface-stabilized with a stabilizer in a non-aqueous medium containing at least one hydrocarbon-based oil. The polymer of the particles is a C1-C4 alkyl (meth)acrylate polymer; and the stabilizer is an isobornyl (meth)acrylate polymer. Also provided is a composition that comprises the dispersion of polymer particles. The dispersion can be used as a cosmetic for caring for and making up of keratin materials.
