A belay descender device for a rope comprising a cam mounted rotating on a fixed flange to perform locking of the rope when said rope is under tension, and a lever articulated on the cam to perform progressive unlocking of the rope with a geared-down effect at the beginning of unlocking travel of the lever. The operating lever comprises transmission means collaborating with a guide ramp of the flange to interrupt the mechanical link with the cam after an intermediate position of the lever has been passed resulting in freeing from said ramp outside the gearing-down area. The end of the guide ramp of the flange corresponds to the anti-panic position of the transmission means, enabling automatic locking of the cam as soon as the gearing-down area has been passed.

The invention relates to a carabiner including a metal body, and a gate rotatably assembled to a first end of the metal body between a closed position and an open position of the carabiner, the gate being in contact with a second end of the metal body when the carabiner is in closed position. The carabiner is provided with a separation bar fastened to the metal body and configured to define two distinct confinement areas. The bar is assembled by clipping onto the metal body at first and second opposite ends of the bar, the first end comprising a first fastener totally surrounding the metal body, and the second end comprising a second fastener totally surrounding the metal body. The separation bar being configured to authorize the opening of the gate when the first and second fasteners surround the metal body.

Carabiner

A fall arrest safety apparatus on a rope includes a rotary roller mounted on a pivoting arm with speed detection, and a control selector of a ratchet. The latter is able to occupy a released inactive position enabling the roller to rotate in both directions of rotation in a first fall arrest operating mode, and an active position with unidirectional blocking of the roller in rotation with respect to the arm in the descending direction corresponding to a second operating mode of the apparatus as a simple clamp.

The invention relates to a clamp with a cam, and with a removable pivot-pin, wherein the bias spring is integrated in a housing of the cam by means of a securing cassette configured to position the spring in a pre-stressed state. The cassette is provided with clip-fastening means designed to be fitted in the housing of the lever.
