Systems and methods are provided for selecting and importing objects. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided for selecting objects for importation. Each object includes data and related processes. In the method, a search query is received including an object type. The object type identifies two or more key fields that uniquely identify the object type specified in the search query. A filter selection is received, which includes one or more values of characteristics or key figures of the specified object type. A database is searched and objects of the specified object type that meet the filter selection are identified. A result is returned to a user indicating the identified objects.

Systems and methods for selecting and importing objects

Systems, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed for providing a generic audit trail service for a plurality of business objects, at least two of the plurality of business objects being of different business object types. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided that comprises receiving, at an application server, a notification of a change associated with at least one of the plurality of business objects, and requesting, in response to receiving the notification, auditing data from the at least one business object, the at least one business object implementing an auditable function set to interface with the application server. Further, the method includes receiving, through a called method of the auditable function set, the requested auditing data, and storing the received auditing data in a repository.

Systems and methods for providing a generic audit trail service

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating cost estimates. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method for producing a cost estimate, comprising selecting at least one cost object included in the cost estimate. The cost object requires evaluation of a first function stored in a cost estimation system. The selected cost object is described by a mapping between the first function and a second function in a costing platform. The mapping indicates a matching of local and remote fieldnames that describe a logical storage location of the cost object within the cost estimation system and the costing platform, respectively. The method further comprises determining whether the selected cost object requires evaluation of the second function, receiving cost data for the cost object from the costing platform, calculating the cost estimate using the cost data and the first function and producing the cost estimate via a user interface.

Methods and systems for cost estimation based on templates

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating cost estimates. In one implementation, a cost estimation system includes cost object metadata describing a mapping between functions at a cost estimation system and corresponding functions at a cost evaluation system. Based on the metadata, the cost estimation system determines whether a cost object requires evaluation in the cost evaluation system and, based on that determination, provides an evaluation request for the cost object to the cost evaluation system. In response to the evaluation request, the cost estimation system receives cost data determined by the cost evaluation system and calculates the cost estimate.

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing an interaction between a status management service and an audit trail service. In one embodiment, a computer-implement method provides the interaction by enabling an audit of a business object when the business object reaches a designated status. At an application server, a change associated with the business object is received. In response to the change, it is determined whether the business object is a status business object and an auditable business object. If so, a status function set is implemented to interface with the application server to determine whether the change to the business object is allowed. The method also determines whether the business object has reached the designated status. When the business object has reached the designated status, auditing data is requested for the business object.

Systems and methods for providing an interaction between a status management service and an audit trail service

Embodiments consistent with the present invention relate to methods and systems for displaying a plurality of data objects, each of the data objects including an object type of a predefined set of object types, each object type including a set of attributes. In one implementation, a method is provided that comprises displaying a first table including a row for each data object of the plurality of data objects and a column for each attribute of the sets of attributes, selecting one of the data objects by selecting one of the rows in the first table, and displaying a second table including a row for each attribute of the selected data object, wherein the first and second tables are displayed in respective first and second display areas.
