A device for the detection of wetness in wheel arches of road vehicles includes at least one sensor arrangement including at least one capacitive moisture sensor with two electrodes, electrically insulated with respect to one another, and with at least one evaluation unit, the electrodes, electrically insulated with respect to one another, are arranged on a carrier element, that the electrodes, electrically insulated with respect to one another, are formed by two detection sections arranged parallel to one another, and that the detection sections, when used as intended, are aligned respectively in a rising manner in their longitudinal extent. The device also relates to a road vehicle for the detection of wetness, with at least one wheel arch, with which provision is made according to the invention that the wheel arch is delimited by a wheel-housing shell, at which a device according to the invention is arranged.

A method for detecting and processing the carriageway condition of a carriageway on which a vehicle is driven, by means of at least one noise sensor provided on the vehicle, in particular by means of at least one mechanical vibration sensor, wherein noise signals travelling through the vehicle are sensed by a noise sensor and conclusions as to the carriageway condition are drawn from the sensed noise signals. According to said method, the section of route on which the vehicle is currently being driven is determined, the determined carriageway condition is assigned to the section of route, said section of route and the carriageway condition that has been determined and assigned to the section of route are transmitted to a computer network, in particular to a cloud-based computing service, and the information relating to the carriageway condition assigned to a section of route is made available via the computer network.

Method for sensing and processing the carriageway condition of a carriageway on which a vehicle is driven

In a method for capturing a condition of a surface of a road on which a vehicle is travelling, wherein at least one signal produced as a result of moisture thrown up from the road is captured by means of at least one sensor apparatus arranged on the vehicle, wherein the sensor apparatus includes at least one sensor device, and wherein the captured signal is evaluated by means of at least one evaluation device attached to the vehicle, it is provided as essential to the invention that at least one physical parameter of the thrown up moisture is captured by at least one sensor device, and that a conclusion is reached regarding the salt content of the moisture which reaches the sensor apparatus on the basis of at least one captured physical parameter, and a conclusion is reached regarding the condition of the road based on the salt content. The invention relates further to a sensor apparatus for a vehicle for capturing a condition of a surface of a road on which a vehicle is travelling having at least one sensor apparatus for detecting moisture thrown up by the vehicle tyres.
