A method of managing crops using an electronic device having an interface. Inputs of crop data is received, and each of the crop data is associated with a sample site location corresponding to each of a plurality of images captured by an image capturing device. A graph plotting one or more types of crop data including data associated with the plurality of images is generated in a first display region of the interface. A subset of sample site locations requiring one of a predetermined set of actions is displayed on the map in a second display region of the interface based on a selection within one of the plots on the graph.

A selection of a geographical feature within the map on the user interface is received based on a selection criteria comprising a set of predefined gesture rules. A system and method of grouping images captured using an image capture device. A selection of at least one item in the graphical user interface is detected, the at least one item being located in a bounded region of the graphical user interface, the bounded region having an abutting region. In the abutting region, a selection deadband representing a distance from a boundary between the bounded region and the abutting region is set, the selection deadband having a thickness determined according to proximity of another boundary of the abutting region. Selection of an item located in the abutting region is disabled until a selector is traversed past the selection deadband and into the abutting region.

System and method to modify display of augmented reality content

A method of providing a print representation of a document which, when printed, has at least one region the appearance of which is dependent on viewing conditions. The method comprises generating a representation of the document and then modifying the appearance of the at least one region to thereby simulate the appearance of the document when printed. This is achieved by animating the representation of the at least one region or at least partially combining the at least one region with an image.

Print presentation

Disclosed is a method for displaying a plurality of objects on a display (). Each object has at least a first attribute and a second attribute. The method sets a range of first attributes to be displayed. A set of objects is then displayed having the same second attribute on a radial line of an ellipse based on a comparison between the range and the first attribute of the objects. Desirably the method is used for displaying information regarding a plurality of broadcast programs on the display, each broadcast program having attributes comprising at least time of transmission and channel of transmission. In that implementation a display period is set. The method then compares the time of broadcast transmission of one or more programs with the display period and then displays (eg.) information regarding a set of programs () having the same channel of transmission (eg.) on at least one radial line of an ellipse, based on the comparison. The described arrangements are particularly useful in displaying television electronic program guide (EPG) information.

Displaying EPG information on a digital television

Disclosed are a method and system for automated classification of a digital image. The method analyzes the image for the presence of a human face. A determination is then made regarding the size of the located face compared to the size of the image to classify the image based on the relative size of the face. Alternatively, the position of the face within the image can be used to determine the classification. With a classified image, particularly forming part of a sequence of classified images, editing of the sequence may be performed dependent upon the classification to achieve a desired aesthetic effect. The editing may be performed with the aid of an editing template.

Visual language classification system

A method and apparatus for processing media items is disclosed. The method involves selecting a sub-set () of the media items (), and concurrently displaying a spatial representation () and a temporal representation () of the selected sub-set. Using this starting point, a user can browse, using either a temporal control input () or a spatial control input (), applied to the associated temporal or spatial display (respectively), to modify the media item selection (). Interactive animation of sprites in a video production

A method of editing a video sequence comprising a series of clips, in which each clip is formed by video content captured between two points in time. Duration data associated with the duration of each clip is extracted from the sequence. The duration data is processed according to at least one predetermined template of editing rules to form editing instruction data, the template indicating a plurality of predetermined edited segment durations, and the editing instruction data being configured to form output edited segments from the clips The clip is then processed (edited) according to the editing instruction data to form an output edited sequence of output edited segments. Each of the output edited segments has a duration corresponding to one of the predetermined edited segment durations with at least a portion of the clip being discarded by the processing of the clip.

Automated visual image editing system

A method () is disclosed for producing, using a multi-slot presentation skeleton (), an image presentation from a set of source images (). The method comprises establishing a duration of the presentation, an average slot duration, and based upon slot template rules, locations and properties of key slots in the skeleton (). The method then generates () candidate groups of sub-image sets from the set of source images, and selects () sub-image sets from the candidate groups for the key slots. The method then fills () the non-key slots with sub-image sets from the candidate groups, and processes () the sub-image sets in the skeleton slots using effect and transition rules, to thereby form the image presentation.
