The present invention relates to a mild multi-phased personal care composition that contains a surfactant component containing a surfactant or a mixture of surfactants; where said mild multi-phased personal care composition has a Structured Domain Volume Ratio of at least about 45%.

Mild multi-phased personal care composition

A multi-phase personal care composition is described that comprises a first visually distinct structured phase and a second visually distinct structured phase. The first visually distinct structured phase comprises a cleansing phase that includes about 2% to about 23.5%, by weight of the cleansing phase, of surfactant component. Preferably, the surfactant component comprises at least one branched anionic surfactant.

Stable, patterned multi-phased personal care composition

The present invention relates to leave on, skin care compositions, comprising: (a) from about 0.1% to about 30% of a sunscreen active, (b) from about 0.5% to about 20% of a hydrophobic, structuring agent, (c) from about 0.2% to about 10% of a hydrophilic surfactant, (d) from about 0.1% to about 5% of a thickening agent, (e) from about 0.1% to about 25% of a skin lightening agent and (f) water. These compositions are useful for providing (i) protection to human skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation and (ii) a skin lightening benefit.

Photoprotective compositions

The present invention relates to a substantially dry, disposable, personal cleansing product useful for both cleansing and conditioning the skin or hair. These products are used by the consumer by wetting the dry product with water. The product comprises of a water insoluble substrate, a lathering surfactant, and a conditioning emulsion. The invention also encompasses methods for cleansing and conditioning the skin or hair using these products and to methods for manufacturing these products.

Cleansing products with improved moisturization

The present invention relates to leave on, skin care compositions, comprising: (A) from about 0.001% to about 20% of an active ingredient, (B) from about 1% to about 20% of a stable, hydrophobic, structuring agent selected from the group consisting of saturated C.sub.16 to C.sub.30 fatty alcohols, saturated C.sub.16 to C.sub.30 fatty alcohols containing from about 1 to about 5 moles of ethylene oxide, saturated C.sub.16 to C.sub.30 diols, saturated C.sub.16 to C.sub.30 monoglycerol ethers, saturated C.sub.16 to C.sub.30 hydroxy fatty acids, and mixtures thereof, having a melting point of at least about 45.degree. C.; and (C) from about 0.05% to about 10% of a hydrophilic surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, zwitterionic surfactants, and mixtures thereof, and (D) from about 25% to about 98.949% water. These compositions are useful for delivering a wide variety of active ingredients to the skin.

A very stable mild soap personal cleansing and moisturizing composition comprising: C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 free fatty acid soap, C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 free fatty acid, water, and petrolatum, preferably having a weight average particle size larger than 45 microns.

A very stable mild soap personal cleansing and moisturizing composition comprising: C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 free fatty acid soap, C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 free fatty acid, water, and petrolatum, or emollient preferably having a weight average particle size larger than 45 microns.
