A power and frequency regulation meter to which AC power is supplied through an AC power line, including: an AC frequency meter that receives AC power from an AC power line and measures a current AC frequency on the AC power line; an AC power consumption meter that receives AC power from the AC power line and measures a current power consumption on the AC power line over a period of time; an AC power consumption display that receives AC power from the AC power line and displays power consumption; a frequency regulation credits display that displays a frequency regulation credit; and a case that encases the AC frequency meter, the AC power consumption meter, the AC power consumption display, the frequency regulation credits display. A credit or debit is calculated based on a current power consumption, the current AC frequency, and a power consumption moving average.

Power and frequency regulation meter

A photovoltaic (PV) system includes module-level power electronic (MLPE) devices that produce energy. The PV system includes a gateway to receive and send data to MLPE devices. The gateway also connects the PV system with a network, such as a local area network, that allows access to the Internet. The gateway provides functionality within the PV system to perform various processes to improve operation of MLPE devices.

Photovoltaic management and module-level power electronics

A method. A power and frequency regulation meter, to which AC power is supplied through an AC power line, includes: an AC frequency meter that receives AC power from an AC power line and measures a current AC frequency on the AC power line; an AC power consumption meter that receives AC power from the AC power line and measures a current power consumption on the AC power line over a period of time; an AC power consumption display that receives AC power from the AC power line and displays power consumption; a frequency regulation credits display that displays a frequency regulation credit. A power consumption moving average of a last N power current power consumptions measured by the AC power consumption meter is calculated. A credits or debit is calculated based on a current power consumption, the current AC frequency and the power consumption moving average.

Supplying and billing for electrical power using a power and frequency regulation meter

A method supplying AC power and billing a customer using frequency regulation credits. The method includes using an AC frequency measuring device, measuring a current AC frequency on an AC power line; using a power consumption measuring device, measuring a current power consumption on the AC power line over a period of time equal to a sampling interval; calculating a power consumption moving average of a last N power current power consumptions measured, where N is a positive integer greater than 1; generating credits or debits based on the current power consumption, the current AC frequency and the power consumption moving average; adding the credits or debits to a frequency regulation credit; and for each next sampling interval repeating measuring the current AC frequency, measuring current power consumption, calculating the power consumption moving average, generating the credits or debits, and adding the credits or debits to the frequency regulation credit.

Method for supplying electrical power and billing for electrical power supplied using frequency regulation credits

A power profile management method and system. The method includes retrieving by a computer processor input data associated with a user of power consumption devices at a specified location. The computer processor retrieves power consumption data comprising power consumption levels for the power consumption devices. The computer processor generates and transmits a mobile usage portfolio associated said user and the power consumption devices. The computer processor generates a load usage prediction report associated with the user and the power consumption devices. The load usage prediction report is generated based on the mobile usage portfolio and said power consumption data. The computer processor transmits the load usage prediction report to a power provider utility for analysis.

Power profile management

Location functionality to determine the geospatial location of a PV module is described. This functionality may be performed at the PV module site itself as well as remote from the PV module site. The location functionality may involve the analysis of data collected from the location of the PV module or modules being analyzed as well as data from locations of other PV modules, which are not being analyzed. This data, from other PV modules may be gathered, recorded, and used as a benchmark, or for some other purpose in embodiments.

Automated photovoltaic geospatial location

A charging method and system. The method includes detecting and monitoring by a computer processor, a frequency signal associated with an input voltage signal used for powering power consumption devices at a first specified location. The computer processor generates frequency level data associated with the monitoring. The computer processor receives a request to enable a charging process for charging a rechargeable power source and power source data associated with the rechargeable power source and a user. In response to the request, the computer processor enables a customized charging process associated with charging the rechargeable power source based on the frequency level data and/or the power source data.

A technique for modifying an input/output (I/O) connection type between a client and a server includes determining, by the client, when at least partial storage access control for the client is to be migrated from a first virtualized I/O server to a second virtualized I/O server. An I/O connection type, from among multiple available I/O connection types available between the client and the second virtualized I/O server, is then selected by the client when the at least partial storage access control for the client is to be migrated. The selected I/O connection type is then communicated, by the client, to the second virtualized I/O server, which is configured to facilitate storage access for the client using the selected I/O connection type.

Techniques for migrating active I/O connections with migrating servers and clients

A method, programmed medium and system are provided for enabling a slider bar to change 'mode' or 'purpose', based on feedback from the graphical user interface (GUI). In one exemplary embodiment, a slider functions in usual manner but an audible or video signal is provided as each tab, window or object in a plurality of tabs, windows or objects is scrolled through. Within a specific time interval of feedback action, the user may stop and pause the movement of the cursor. This causes the tab, window or object to open and the slider bar mode to change from selecting to scrolling through the content of that specific tab, window or object. In another example, in addition to the &#x201c;pause&#x201d; action, the enhanced slider bar would accept movement perpendicular to the normal direction of slider bar movement, as indication that a new function is to be performed.

In one embodiment, each of a plurality of sites may produce surplus power. All or a fraction of the surplus power may be supplied to the power grid according to an agreement between the user of a site and an electric utility. A computer of the utility is in communication with a computer at each of a plurality of sites having a local power source. Terms of power provision that include an amount of power to be provided during a specified time of day is communicated between a site and the utility.
