Disclosed is a load detection device and method using the same. In one example, the device includes a height-level measuring unit configured to determine a height level of a vehicle and to generate at least one height-level signal that characterizes the height level. A position-measuring unit is configured to determine the position of the vehicle relative to the mid-point of the earth and to generate at least one position signal that characterizes the vehicle position. An evaluation unit is coupled to the height-level measuring unit and to the position-measuring unit. The evaluation unit is configured to determine a mass of a load of the vehicle, taking into account the height-level signal(s) and the position signal(s). The device can be used to determine the mass of the load, which may include a number of persons.

Load detection device

Disclosed is a chassis component () having a measuring device () for determining a relative position of two chassis components connected movably with one another. For example, a first chassis component is a joint () with at least one rotation axis () and a second chassis component is a structural component (), the structural component () being mounted by means of the joint () so that it can pivot around the rotation axis () of the joint (). The measuring device () has a signal emitter () and a sensor device () with a signal receiver (), where the sensor device () is arranged on the structural component () and the signal emitter () is arranged on the joint (). To improve an arrangement of the sensor device () on the structural component (), the sensor device () extends through a through-opening ().

Suspension component with a measuring device and method for producing a suspension component of this kind

A central joint device for chassis components (), particularly three-point link, is suggested. The central joint device comprises at least one housing unit (), at least one joint pin unit () which is movably supported at least partially inside of the housing unit (), and at least one sensor unit (), particularly a magnetic sensor unit, which is provided for contactless detection of roll motions and pitch motions of the housing unit () and of the joint pin unit () relative to one another. The sensor unit () comprises at least one encoder element () and at least one sensor element (). The encoder element () and the sensor element () are arranged to be spaced apart from one another and movable relative to one another.

A magnetic field sensor has a magnet (M) that produces a magnetic field with a magnetic field axis (f), has a magnet axis (a) and is held in a component () that can move about at least one axis and has a component axis (b). Also a method for mounting a magnet (M) of a magnetic field sensor. The magnet (M) is held in the component () in such a manner that the magnetic field axis (f) coincides, as closely as possible, with the component axis (b). A deviation of the magnetic field axis (f) from the magnet axis (a) is measured, and the angle of deviation (&#x3b1;) is corrected during the mounting of the magnet (M) in the component ().

Magnetic field sensor and method for mounting a magnet

An arrangement for connecting a link () of a chassis to a wheel carrier () by way of a ball sleeve joint (). The link () has an link eye (), the ball sleeve joint () has a ball sleeve (), and the wheel carrier () has two bearing eyes (). A sensor is located on the link eye () and a signal generator is located on the ball sleeve (). The sensor and signal generator form an angle measuring device. The ball sleeve () is connected to the bearing eyes () via a threaded pin (). An anti-rotation unit () is provided between the ball sleeve () and the wheel carrier () in order to fix a defined angular position of the ball sleeve () with respect to the wheel carrier ().

A locking element is provided on the coupling ball holder by which the coupling ball holder is secured against being inadvertently removed from the coupling ball. An angle measuring device, provided on the coupling ball, comprises sensors which can detect rotation of the coupling ball holder relative to the coupling ball about a rotation axis. The position of the locking element, relative to the coupling ball, can be determined using the sensors.
