Example aspects of a sliding disc assembly for a dual spring valve, and a method of operating a dual spring valve are disclosed. The sliding disc assembly can comprise a shaft defining a first end and a second end; a disc mounted on the shaft between the first end and the second end, the disc defining an upper disc surface, a lower disc surface, and an annular base surface; a first spring mounted on the shaft between the lower disc surface and the first end of the shaft; and a second spring mounted on the shaft between the upper disc surface and the second end of the shaft, wherein the first spring defines a spring force that is different from a spring force of the second spring.

Dual spring valve

A valve includes an annular body defining a body bore. An annular valve seat is positioned in the body bore and an annular groove is defined in a portion of the annular sealing surface. A rotatable valve element is positioned in the body bore. With the valve element in a closed and an unpressurized condition, the annular groove is deformed and a first groove gap is defined in the annular groove adjacent to the first disc face and a second groove gap is defined in the annular groove adjacent to the second disc face. With the valve element closed and in a pressurized condition, the annular groove is deformed and a third groove gap is defined in the annular groove adjacent to the first disc face. A volume of the third groove gap is greater than a volume of the first groove gap and second groove gap.

Pressure activated valve seat

A valve includes a valve body defining a top end, a bottom end distal from the top end, and a shaft bore defined in the top end and the bottom end; a valve shaft positioned at least partially within the shaft bore of the valve body and defining an end bore; and a shaft blowout prevention fastener secured within the end bore of the valve shaft.

A check valve including a valve body and a flapper assembly, the valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, an interior cavity, and a port in the interior cavity; the flapper assembly movable between an open position, providing fluid communication between the inlet and outlet, and a closed position, isolating the inlet from the outlet, the flapper assembly including a resilient body and a spring assembly, the spring assembly configured to bias the flap portion of the resilient body towards the closed position, the spring assembly including a spring and a backing plate mounted on opposite surfaces of the resilient body and configured to increase the stiffness of the intermediate portion of the resilient body.
