The present disclosure relates to a method of trajectory planning for maneuvers for an ego vehicle (E) equipped with a sensor systems, a prediction systems, a control system, and a decision-making system. The method includes determining possible lateral motion trajectories of a requested maneuver, longitudinal safety critical zones which correspond to each of the determined possible lateral motion trajectories, a longitudinal motion trajectory of the requested maneuver, lateral safety critical zones which correspond to the determined longitudinal motion trajectory of the requested maneuver, and a lateral motion trajectory of the requested maneuver. The present disclosure also relates to a driver assistance system arranged to perform the method and a vehicle including such a system.

Method of road vehicle trajectory planning

A method for collecting and storing vehicle sensor data of at least one sensing system of a vehicle in order to detect an incident, accident and/or scam, said method comprising the steps of: (1) continuously collecting and storing a first set of vehicle sensor data for a preceding first pre-definable time period at least when the vehicle is in motion and/or when a door or trunk of the vehicle is open, (2) collecting and storing a second set of vehicle sensor data for a coming second pre-definable time period when at least one of the following occurs: the vehicle is brought to standstill, the door or trunk of the vehicle is being closed, or the vehicle drives away from standstill after being parked. Method and system for detecting an incident , accident and/or scam of a vehicle

This disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for road vehicle driver assistance through which it is possible to determine critical obstacles that are within a predetermined proximity of a calculated maneuver corridor of the vehicle, representative of the full vehicle extension, and determination of corresponding critical points of the vehicle calculated to come into the predetermined proximity of the identified obstacles when traversing the calculated maneuver corridor. Separate from the bird's eye image of the vehicle and its surrounding is displayed at least one image acquired from a determined best camera angle and position to navigate critical obstacles. This provides a driver of an associated road vehicle with a clear overview of a current situation and provides immediate access to detailed views of one or more critical areas to navigate.

Appartus and method for road vehicle driver assistance

A method and system for evaluating inter-vehicle traffic gaps and time instances to perform a lane change maneuver is described. The present disclosure relates to a method of trajectory planning for yielding maneuvers for an ego vehicle (E). The method may include determining a longitudinal safety corridor for the ego vehicle (E) that allows the ego vehicle (E) to longitudinally position itself between two or more surrounding objects, determining a longitudinal trajectory for the ego vehicle (E) respecting bounds given by the longitudinal safety corridor, determining a lateral safety corridor for the ego vehicle (E) using the longitudinal trajectory to determine upper and lower bounds on a lateral position of the ego vehicle (E), and determining a lateral trajectory for the ego vehicle (E) respecting bounds given by the lateral safety corridor. Method of trajectory planning for yielding maneuvers

A gap selection method performed by a gap selection system for a vehicle. The vehicle travels on a road having a first lane and a second lane adjacent to the first. The vehicle travels in the first lane, a first surrounding vehicle travels in the second lane, a second surrounding vehicle travels in the second lane ahead of the first surrounding vehicle with a first gap between the first and second surrounding vehicles. The method includes determining a first minimum safety margin between the first surrounding vehicle and the vehicle, determining a second minimum safety margin between the second surrounding vehicle and the vehicle, evaluating the first gap by determining a minimum limit for a longitudinal position of the vehicle, determining a maximum limit for a longitudinal position of the vehicle, and determining a lane change appropriateness value of the first gap utilizing the minimum limit and the maximum limit.

Gap selection method and system

A lane change control arrangement, vehicle, and method are described. The lane change control arrangement is arranged to adjust a host vehicle velocity in accordance with a first velocity profile to expand a detectable zone to cover a previously undetectable zone of a second road lane, detect whether a vehicle is present in the previously undetectable zone, determine that a lane change is possible, or determine that a lane change is unsuitable using the second road lane and issue a control signal to the vehicle drive arrangement to adjust the host vehicle velocity until a safety distance is established between the host vehicle and the detected vehicle, and issue a control signal to the vehicle drive arrangement to perform the lane change.

Lane change control arrangement, a vehicle comprising such arrangement and a method for controlling lane changes

A method and arrangement are described for manoeuvre generation for automated driving on a one-way road of a vehicle (e) hosting the arrangement, the host vehicle (e) further including one or more advanced driver assistance systems. A collision free reference trajectory for longitudinal and lateral movement of the host vehicle (e) is determined repeatedly, with a fix time interval, for allowing the host vehicle (e) to retain a desired velocity and maintain the host vehicle (e) in a preferred lane utilizing model predictive control and quadratic program formulation. A control scheme where the structured environment of the one-way road is exploited in order to linearly formulate collision avoidance constraints is utilized. Manoeuvre generation is performed through solving the quadratic program. The one or more advanced driver assistance systems are controlled to perform the generated manoeuvre.

Manoeuver generation for automated driving

A method for transition between driving modes of a vehicle is disclosed. The driving modes include an autonomous driving (AD) mode, a partly autonomous driving (PAD) mode and a manual driving (MD) mode. A transition from the PAD mode to the AD mode is performed by enabling the AD mode. A transition from the AD mode to the PAD mode is performed by releasing a steering wheel lock when the PAD mode is in an enabled state. A transition from the MD mode to the AD mode is performed by enabling the AD mode. A transition from the AD mode to the MD mode is performed by releasing the steering wheel lock when the PAD mode is in a disabled state. A system for performing the method and a vehicle including the system are also disclosed.
