A technique provides a desired control over incremental actuation of hydraulic devices. A hydraulically actuated tool is combined with a control module. The hydraulically actuated tool has an actuator piston positioned in a piston chamber and movable between operating positions. The control module comprises a hydraulic indexing circuit arranged to enable incremental movement of the actuator piston in a first direction and full stroke movement in a second direction based on hydraulic input delivered via control lines. The hydraulic indexing circuit comprises an indexing piston system and at least one check valve working in cooperation with the indexing piston system to enable the incremental and full stroke movements.

A lock latch assembly for a multi-stage completion and method of operating the lock latch assembly are provided. The latch assembly functions as a snap latch prior to activation and as a shear latch after activation.

Systems and methods are provided to facilitate connection of multiple stage completions. A first completion stage is deployed at a wellbore location. Subsequently, the next completion stage is moved downhole into engagement with the first completion stage. The completion stages each have communication lines that are coupled together downhole via a wetmate connection. Systems and methods for determining an orientation of the communication lines relative to the wellbore are also provided.

Systems and methods for monitoring and control in downhole well applications are provided. The system and methodology may be combined with a variety of completions or other types of well equipment deployed downhole to enable both electrical and fiber optic communication with downhole components. For example, the system enables both electrical and fiber optic communication for operating and monitoring of downhole completion systems or other systems.

The completion stages each have communication lines that are coupled together downhole via a wetmate connection. Debris prevention and removal devices and methods are also provided.

Fiber optic wetmate

A screen assembly. The screen assembly may include an inner tubular, a filter screen, a shunt tube, and a perforated shroud. The inner tubular may be configured to flow a formation fluid produced at a first production zone of a formation having multiple production zones that is downhole of the screen assembly. The filter screen may be disposed radially outward from the inner tubular and configured to filter a formation fluid produced at a second production zone that is proximate the screen assembly prior to the formation fluid entering an annulus between the filter screen and the inner tubular. The shunt tube may be disposed radially outward from the filter screen to flow a fluid to a location within the borehole that is downhole of the screen assembly. The perforated shroud may be perforated shroud disposed radially outward from the shunt tube.
