The present invention relates to a process for preparing polyurethanes by mixing a) polyisocyanate, b) a mixture obtainable by introducing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt into a compound comprising urethane groups, c) compounds comprising one or more epoxide groups, and, optionally, d) polyol, e) chain extenders, and f) fillers and further additives to form a reaction mixture and fully reacting the mixture to give the polyurethane, where the amount of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal ions per equivalent urethane groups in the compound (b) is 0.0001 to 3.5. The present invention further relates to a polyurethane obtainable by such a process, and to the use of such a polyurethane for producing bodywork components for vehicles.

Described herein is a process for the production of a pultrudate by mixing (a) di- or polyisocyanates, (b) compounds having at least two groups reactive toward isocyanates, (c) catalyst, (d) mold-release agent, and optionally, (e) other auxiliaries and additional substances, to give a pultrusion resin system, and wetting and hardening a fiber material therewith, where the di- and polyisocyanates (a) are mixed with a polyol component (B) including compounds (b) having at least two groups reactive toward isocyanates, catalysts (c) mold-release agents (d) and optionally other auxiliaries and additional substances (e), and the pH of the polyol component (B) is in the range from 6.5 to 8.5. Also described herein is a pultrudate obtainable by this process.

Method for producing pultruded products on the basis of polyurethane

Polyurethane-polyisocyanurate compounds and processes for preparing polyurethane-polyisocyanurate compounds are disclosed herein. A process includes mixing component (a) polyisocyanate with component (b) a mixture obtainable by introducing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt into a compound R&#x2014;NH&#x2014;CO&#x2014;R containing urethane groups, where R is not hydrogen and is not COR, component (c) compounds containing one or more epoxide groups, component (d) one or more compounds having at least two isocyanate-reactive groups, comprising compounds having NH2 and/or primary OH groups, and component (e) optionally fillers and other additives, to form a reaction mixture, and reacting the reaction mixture to form the polyurethane-polyisocyanurate compound, wherein the molar amount of alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal ions in the reaction mixture per mole of urethane group in component (b) is 0.0001 to 3.5 and the isocyanate index is greater than 150. Use of polyurethane-polyisocyanate compounds for producing vehicle parts is also disclosed.

Polyurethane-polyisocyanurate compound comprising outstanding mechanical properties

A process is disclosed for producing polyurethane-polyisocyanurate-fiber composite parts, wherein a composition comprising polyisocyanate, a mixture obtainable by introducing an alkali metal salt or alkaline earth metal salt into a compound R&#x2014;NH&#x2014;CO&#x2014;R' containing urethane groups, with R&#x2032; being not hydrogen and/or not COR&#x2033;, a compound containing one or more epoxide groups, polyetherol having an average functionality of 1.8 to 5.0 and a hydroxyl number of 200 to 500, a chain extender, fibrous reinforcing agents and optionally further additives form a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture is applied to the fibrous reinforcing agent and caused to react to form the polyurethane-polyisocyanurate-fiber composite part. Further disclosed is a polyurethane-polyisocyanurate-fiber composite part producible by such a process, and also the use of a polyurethane-polyisocyanurate-fiber composite part as a bodywork component of vehicles, such as bumpers, fenders or roof parts, or as structural or semistructural components for vehicles or wind turbines.

The present invention relates to a process for producing a molding (FK), comprising the production of a thermoplastic polyurethane, comprising the reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition, at least one chain extender, and at least one polyol composition, the production of a molding (FK*) from the thermoplastic polyurethane, the heating of the molding (FK*) to a temperature below the temperature at which the molding (FK*) is permanently deformable, and above the switching temperature of the thermoplastic polyurethane, the compressing of the heated molding (FK*) to give a molding (FK), and the cooling of the molding (FK) to a temperature below the switching temperature of the thermoplastic polyurethane, and also to the moldings obtainable or obtained by such a process.
