A method of treating skin is disclosed. The method can include topically applying to a person's skin a composition comprising 0.0001% to 5% w/w of a hydrolyzed algae extract comprising exopolysaccharides from, and 0.0001% to 5% w/w of a saccharide isomerate comprising an exopolysaccharide synthesized by, wherein at least one of skin permeability is decreased, filaggrin production is increased, skin moisture is increased, occludin production is increased, or TNFα production is inhibited in the skin.

Skin lightening compositions

Disclosed is a topical skin composition. The composition can include 50 to 75% by weight of water, 2 to 7% by weight of caprylic/capric triglyceride, 2 to 7% by weight of(shea) butter, 2 to 7% by weight of(sunflower) seed oil, 1 to 5% by weight of cetyl alcohol, 1 to 5% by weight of glyceryl stearate, and 0.1 to 2% by weight of beeswax.
