An embodiment identifies a set of responsive tables, the set of responsive tables comprising a first table in the dataset, the first table in the dataset represented by a first table embedding, the first table embedding and the query embedding having a similarity score above a similarity score threshold.

Embedding based heterogenous dataset evaluation

Techniques for language-based manipulation of data visualizations are disclosed. A system presents a data visualization representing a multidimensional data set. The system receives user input including language associated with a particular interaction with the data visualization. The particular interaction is configured to manipulate presentation of one or more subsets of the multidimensional data set. The user input does not identify any particular subset of the multidimensional data set. The system determines that the interaction is applicable to two or more candidate subsets of the multidimensional data set and presents, as candidates for the particular interaction, the two or more candidate subsets. The system receives user input selecting a particular subset from candidates. Based on the user inputs, the system generates a complete command corresponding to the particular interaction. Based on the complete command, the system performs the particular interaction to manipulate, in the data visualization, presentation of the particular subset.

Language-based manipulation of data visualizations

A system and method for facilitating adjusting a displayed representation of a visualization. An example method includes employing a touch-sensitive display to present a user interface display screen depicting a first visualization; and providing a first user option to apply touch input to a region of the user interface display screen coinciding with a portion of the first visualization to facilitate affecting an arrangement of data displayed via the first visualization, wherein the touch input includes a multi-touch gesture. In a more specific embodiment, the touch gesture includes a rotation gesture, and the method further includes displaying a visual indication of a change, e.g., a pivot operation, to be applied to a second visualization as a user performs the rotation gesture, and updating the second visualization as a user continues perform the rotation gesture. The first visualization is updated based on the second visualization upon completion of the rotation gesture.

Multi-touch interface and method for data visualization

A text mining tool is operated on a given text to obtain words and/or phrases ranked by frequency of occurrence. Thereafter, a text-to-speech converter is used to speak each word/phrase output by the text mining tool, and how loud each word/phrase is spoken depends on a corresponding frequency which is additionally output by the text mining tool, for each word/phrase. In certain embodiments, words/phrases are categorized into multiple themes by the text mining tool, and in these embodiments corresponding multiple voices and/or accents are used, to indicate via sonification, a specific theme of each word/phrase being spoken.

Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for navigating interactive visualizations of a business analysis application based on collaborative filtering. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide a recommender that functions together with a visualization tool and business analytics application. This recommender can track use of interactive visualizations provided by the visualization tool, e.g., views selected, functions performed, navigation between views, etc., by various users to build a set of inquiry histories. Then, based on these histories and possibly other considerations, recommendations can be made to a current user as to which views, functions, etc. might be useful or insightful. In other words, embodiments of the present invention track the analysis behavior of each user and recommend which views may be of interest for the corresponding analysis task based on the behavior of similar users in similar situations.

Navigating interactive visualizations with collaborative filtering

A method, system, and computer program product for human-machine interface devices. Embodiments commence upon receiving a set of dimensions, at least some of the dimensions having a plurality of dimension values, then generating for display, a first interactive user interface comprising a series of dimension tiles corresponding to the set of dimensions. A second interactive user interface comprising at least some of the dimensions is displayed in tandem such that a user interaction upon the first interactive user interface causes a change in the second interactive user interface. The dimension tiles can be used in configuration operations such that upon receiving a user interaction upon the dimension tiles, the change in configuration is reflected over the second interactive user interface.

Method and system for reconfiguring a multidimensional interface using dimension tiles

Methods, systems, and computer program product for forming relationships between enterprise data and publically-accessible information are disclosed. Embodiments commence upon accessing a private user profile from a private data area and determining a role and/or access privilege from the user profile. The user profile is used to form queries, and to retrieve enterprise data from an enterprise data repository. Aspects of retrieved enterprise data are then used to determine at least one public information source, from which is retrieved at least some publically-accessible information to be combined with information from the enterprise data repository and displayed to a user. Portions of the retrieved enterprise data are presented in a first display area and portions of the publically-accessible information are displayed in a proximal second display area. Relationships between information from the enterprise data repository and the publically-accessible information are formed. Structured data and unstructured data are combined in the display.
