A lock arm is rotatably provided on a base bracket. A ratchet is rotatably disposed on a shaft member provided at an end portion of the lock arm. A distal-end claw portion of the ratchet is shaped to be engageable with reverse motion preventing teeth formed on the base bracket. A stopper wall is provided on a proximal end portion of the lock arm. In the state in which an engaging portion of the trigger lever abuts upon the stopper wall, an end portion of the trigger lever is supported by a movable body. Thereby, the lock arm is held in a normal position. The movable body moves from a first position toward a second position at the time of a collision. A support shaft or the center of rotation of the trigger lever is located on a higher level than a location where the lock arm is engaged with the trigger lever. The movable body is provided with a recess in which the end portion of the trigger lever is put when the movable body has moved from the first position to the second position.

Seat belt tightening device

A roller shade comprising a spring-loaded retractor, a screen sheet having a trailing edge connected to the retractor, and a rod member attached to a leading edge of the screen sheet. The two ends of the rod member are guided by a pair of guide rails so that the rod member may be moved toward and away from the retractor by using a power drive unit in such a manner that the screen sheet may be paid out from the retractor and extended against the spring force acting on the retractor, and retracted or wound around the retractor, as desired. The rod member incorporates therein a telescopic structure which allows its length to be varied according to the change in the distance between the guide rails as the rod member is moved toward and away from the retractor. Thus, the roller shade can be adapted to windshields, windows or other openings having trapezoidal, curved or other non-rectangular shapes.

A rotation locking device wherein a control component is provided so that a partial enlargement of coil elements thereof causing a delay of locking operation due to a continuous change of rotational direction of a rotating body is prevented and a partial deformation of a hook portion thereof is prevented.

The device comprises a shielded outer cylinder (2), a shaft member (3) installed pivotally within, the cylinder (2), fins (4, 5) either of which are connected with the cylinder (2) or the shaft member (3) by means of base ends (4a, 5a) with edge ends (4b, 5b) thereof being slide contacted onto the other, and a fluid material (6) filled within the outer cylinder (2), wherein the outer cylinder (2) or the shaft member (3) is connected with a stationary member or a rotary member.

Slow-acting rotary device

A torsion bar for a slow-acting rotation shaft device is formed from a U-shaped wire rod so that hook portions formed at both ends of the torsion bar are distanced from each other by a length at least more than a diameter of the wire rod. Hook portions for latching are formed at each end and at the U-shaped bend of the torsion bar.

In a slow-acting rotary shaft device, a shaft, which rotatably supports a second member, includes a hollow shaft body latched to a first member inrotatably, a cap member outwardly inserted on an end portion of the shaft body rotatably and latched to the second member inrotatably, a torsion bar which has one end latched with the shaft body and another end latched with a cap member, and a viscous grease enclosed between the shaft body and cap members. The hollow shaft body is divided into two portions, a body portion of which latches to one of the end portions of the torsion bar. In opposite surfaces of the two portions, a projection formed at one surface and a concave portion formed at another surface are loosely inserted and provided with a relatively rotatable race area. When this device is used, the rotative member is rotated at a slow speed by a jumping up torque of the torsion bar in a rotation area up to a neutral point, while in a rotation area past the neutral point, the rotative member can be stopped at any position.

Slow-acting rotary shaft device

A pedal parking brake device makes it possible to provide a brake retaining state at the maximum braking position. The pedal parking brake device performs a rotational locking of a brake pedal by a coil spring provided at a rotatably supporting position of the brake pedal and includes a supporting shaft fixedly provided at a base plate, a cylindrical core bar loosely and rotatably inserted into the supporting shaft, a brake pedal rotatably attached to a center of the supporting shaft, a brake plate in which a brake hole is provided, integrally formed with the core bar, and a release plate for the coil spring. An outer coil spring is outwardly inserted to the core bar and an inner coil spring is provided at the inner side of the core bar so that its outer diameter may be separately connected with the inner periphery of the core bar. An operation of the parking brake and brake locking are performed by continuously connecting both coil springs to the brake pedal.

A hinged device includes a stationary component hinged with a rotatable component by means of a damper element wherein a lid shaped rotatable component is opened or closed at a low speed by means of a torsion bar connecting the stationary component and the rotatable component, and high viscosity grease is filled in gaps between bearings and small diameter shaft portions of the hinge.

A unit tensioner for a chain or belt comprising a tensioning unit mounted on a base plate and an arched, sliding shoe pivotally mounted on a pin fixed to the base plate so that a cap portion of a tension rod, extending from the tensioning unit, abuts the inner arch surface of the shoe to pivot the shoe so that the chain or belt slides against the outer arched surface of the shoe to tighten the chain or belt and to prevent wear of the cap portion or wear of the mating chain or belt.

A one piece shaft which supports two rotatable members is provided with shafts for energizing the rotation and for controlling an energized force of each member separately. The shaft includes a shaft body which connects two hollow shaft bodies attached to each rotatable member unrotatably on the same central shaft axis so as to rotate relatively, two members attached unrotatably to the fixed member attached rotatably to both sides of this shaft, and two torsion bars bridged between the separated hollow shaft bodies and the cap member respectively. The shaft makes possible providing the initial torque to each torsion bar at the assembling time of the shaft by being provided with a latching projection formed on one hollow shaft body, projections for stopping the rotation formed on both cap members and a latching pawl formed on the other hollow shaft body, and it is possible to prevent problems with respect to the rotation of the rotatable member and a rotation more than a range of the normal rotation by the shaft itself.

Slow-acting rotation shaft device

In a roller shade for an opening such as a rear windshield of an automobile, when the shade is full closed, the pull rod is intentionally bent so as to fully conform to the peripheral edge of the opening. The bending of the pull rod can be achieved either by an axial force which may be produced by gradually reducing the distance between a pair of guide members extending on either lateral side of the opening as the pull rod moves up or by a lateral force which may be produced by placing a slope on which the pull rod rides over as it reaches its final position for fully covering the opening. By controlling the bent shape of the pull rod in a suitable manner, it is possible to entirely cover the opening without leaving any uncovered gap.

Both end sides of a ring band member in a hose band having both end sides opened are fixedly attached to a clamping ear member. Bevelling is provided at edge portions of a tongue and a tongue receiving portion is formed at both ends of the above band member so as to be thinner toward the outside. The hose is thereby prevented from forming creases during clamping.

Pedal parking brake. This device is provided with a supporting shaft fixed to the side of a car body, a rotary body attached to another end of the supporting shaft, a damper case interposed between the supporting shaft and the rotary body, a lock spring latched to a lock releasing member, a clutch spring ineternally provided to the rotary body and the damper case being bridged thereon, and a viscous material filled in a clearance between the supporting shaft and the damper case.

Pedal parking brake

A hinge device to be used between a rotatable component and a stationary component to work as a pivoting device and to permit a restrained rotation of one component in relation to the other due to a high viscosity grease and the torsional force of a coil spring inserted therein in a predetermined angular range; and subsequently to restrain the rotating speed by means of the high viscosity grease and the coil spring.

A clamp structure having a metal band body is mountable on a surface to be clamped. Small projections rising substantially vertically are formed on an inner lap portion of the metal band body. Receiving holes having an edge portion engageable with the projections are formed in an outer lap portion of the metal band body. A first tool receiving portion is formed on the outer lap portion of the body. A second tool receiving portion and a terminal holding portion are provided on an intermediate portion positioned in the longitudinal direction of the metal band body. The terminal holding portion has an opening for receiving the first end of the body when the projections are inserted into the receiving holes to fasten the metal band body. A temporary attaching means having a passage provided between the terminal holding portion and the projections temporarily attaches the metal band body by constraining the outer and inner portions to be engaged with each other when the metal band body is being fastened.
