An optical lens includes a lens body and an anti-reflection film. The lens body includes an optically effective portion and a peripheral portion surrounding the optically effective portion. The optically effective portion is configured for transmitting light therethrough. The optically effective portion has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The first and second surfaces each have a curvature of greater than zero. The anti-reflection film is formed on the first surface of the optically effective portion. A reflectivity of the anti-reflection film to light rays has wavelengths in a range from about 400 nm to about 850 nm being lower than 2%.

An infrared absorbing filter includes a glass plate molded by melting a composition of raw materials and cooling the melted composition. The composition of raw materials includes 28-33 by percentage weight (wt %) of phosphorus pentoxide (PO), 14-33 wt % of A oxide (AO), 0.15-4 wt % of B oxide (BO), 2.5-8 wt % of copper oxide (CuO), 1.4-1.65 wt % of aluminum oxide (AlO). Wherein A is one of alkali metals, AO is one of oxidizing alkali metals, B is one of alkaline earth metals, BO is one of oxidizing alkaline earth metals.

Infrared absorbing filter and lens module having same

A lens module includes a lens barrel, at least one lens, and a filter element. The lens barrel includes an object-side end and an image-side end opposite to the object-side end. The at least one lens is received in the lens barrel. The filter element is received in the lens barrel, and includes a transparent substrate, an anti-reflection film, and an infrared filtering film. The transparent substrate includes an object-side surface facing the object-side end and an image-side surface facing the image-side end. The anti-reflection film is coated on the object-side surface, and the infrared filtering film is coated on the image-side surface.

A projector includes a light source assembly, a digital micro-mirror device, and a projection lens. The light source assembly includes a lamp and a color wheel positioned for receiving light generated by the lamp. The color wheel includes a motor having a contacting portion, a filter, a light-blocker, and a light-isolating sheet. The filter is mounted on the contacting portion of the motor and includes a first area and a second area. Light beams used for forming an image only pass through the first area. The light-blocker is disposed on the filter opposite to the motor. The light-isolating sheet is disposed on the first area and positioned between the filter and the motor and configured for isolating the light beams arrived on the second area.

An infrared cut filter includes a substrate, a first membrane group on the substrate, a second membrane group on the first membrane group and a third membrane group on the second membrane group. The first, second, third membrane groups include a plurality of first, second, third combined membranes. Each first combined membrane includes a high-refractive index membrane having an optical thickness of 1.2 times &#x3bb;/4 and a low-refractive index membrane having an optical thickness of 0.6 times &#x3bb;/8 in an alternating fashion. Each second combined membrane includes a high-refractive index membrane having an optical thickness of 1.1 times &#x3bb;/4 and a low-refractive index membrane having an optical thickness of 1.1 times &#x3bb;/8 in an alternating fashion. An electronic device housing includes a substrate, a film structure, and a protective film. The film structure includes an adhesive film, a film stack, and a protective film. The adhesive film is deposited onto the substrate. The film stack is deposited onto the adhesive film alternating dielectric films and metal films. The metal films are non-continuous with a total thickness of the metal films at a predetermined value. The protective film is deposited onto an upper film of the film stack.

A dichroic mirror includes a substrate, a first film stack, and a second film stack. The first film stack is deposed on the substrate and has a structure represented by a first formula: (2HL). Dichroic mirror

A dichroic mirror includes a substrate and a dielectric multilayered film formed on a surface of the substrate. The dielectric multilayered film includes a first period layer with a structure represented by a formula (0.33H0.66L0.33H)and a second period layer with a structure represented by a formula (2HM). Wherein H represents a high refractive index layer, L represents a low refractive index layer, M represents a middle refractive index layer, all of the H, L and M are set at &#xbc; lambda of a reference wavelength associated with the film, the m and n represent the number of repetitions of the structure, enclosed by the parentheses, used in the correspond first period layer or second period layer.

A dichroic mirror includes a substrate and a dielectric multilayered film formed on a surface of the substrate. The dielectric multilayered film includes a first period layer with a structure represented by a formula (0.7H1.4L0.7H)and a second period layer with a structure represented by a formula (2H&#x3bc;L)in order from the substrate side. Wherein H represents a high refractive index layer and L represents a low refractive index layer, H and L are set at &#xbc; lambda of a reference wavelength associated with the film, &#x3bc; is a coefficient of the L, and the superscript represents the number of repetitions of the structure, enclosed by the parentheses, used in the correspond first period layer or second period layer.

A fabrication method for hollow integration rod suitable for high temperature operation, comprising the steps: (a) pre-fixing a set of mirrors to be a hollow integration rod by a light curable adhesive (such as UV curable adhesive); and (b) fixing those mirrors permanently by an inorganic adhesive. Wherein the mirrors can be a High Reflective Mirror with dielectric thin films, or it could be a High Reflective Mirror made of metallic thin film and coating a dielectric thin films by deposition for enhancing the reflection and protection purpose; for a all dielectric film, since there are multi-layer of thin dielectric films been deposited thereon, to prevent the warpage or distortion due to film stress in deposition process, several layers of thin film of silicon oxide SiOx can be pre-deposited on the backside of the mirror to balance.
