A heat-dissipating structure of a disc drive comprises a tray and a diversion plate. The tray has a body with a concavity loading surface for loading a disc to be in and out the disc drive, and the loading surface has a central hole. Further the diversion plate is disposed on one side of the loading surface, and connected to the loading surface, wherein the diversion plate extends downward and slopes from the connection of the diversion plate and the loading surface.

A flexible printed circuit for electrically connecting a disk tray to a chassis of an optical disk drive has a base layer, a copper layer, and a cover layer. The copper layer is attached to the base layer by a first adhesive layer, and has a plurality of separate electrical wires and a ground area. The cover layer has a cutout area corresponding to the ground area, and is attached to the copper layer by a second adhesive layer. A third adhesive layer is electrically conductive and used for attaching the cover layer to the chassis of the optical disk drive. Wherein the third adhesive layer is electrically connected to the ground area of the copper layer through the cutout area, the static charges accumulated on the copper layer will be discharged to the chassis.

An optical disk drive includes a main body and a tray. A tray locking mechanism includes a base fixed to the tray, a locking device installed on the base for combining with or separating from a stop pin of the main body, a transmission device installed on the base for driving the locking device, and a control device installed on the base for stopping the transmission device. When the locking device combines with the stop pin of the main body, the tray can be locked to the main body, and when the transmission device drives the locking device to be separated from the stop pin of the main body, the tray can eject from the main body and the control device can stop the transmission device from rotating.

A disc braking device is utilized in an optical disc drive. The disc braking device is installed on a disc tray of an optical disc drive. Without being affected by an covering component or the location of the disc braking device, the disc braking device makes a disc stop rotating in a more direct and efficient way. The disc braking device contains a structure portion; a braking rod installed and not fixed on the structure portion; and a braking component installed on the braking rod and utilized for making the disc stop rotating.

The roller carrier from aforementioned processes uses less materials, can be mass-produced, has a precise dimension, is light weighted, has a smooth surface and has a high surface hardness. In other word, the roller carrier made from the manufacturing process of metal powder metallurgy not only has preferred physical properties, such as good hardness, smoothness and precision, but also can reduce the vibration from the eccentricity of rotation. Moreover, the manufacturing cost can be reduced greatly and yield is increased. Therefore, the present invention is economical.
