A liquid crystal composite material, includes: a liquid crystal; a polymer; and a modified inorganic layered material, wherein the modified inorganic layered material is formed by modifying an inorganic layered material with a conjugated oligomer, and the conjugated oligomer has a quaternary ammonium group or sulfonate group.

Liquid crystal composite material and liquid crystal electro-optical display device

Disclosed is a method for making a poly-lactic acid/silica composite. At first, silica particles are aminated, thus providing aminated silica particles. Secondly, the aminated silica particles are mixed with poly-lactic acid. Then, the mixture is blended and extruded by two micro-screws, thus providing a poly-lactic acid/silica composite. Thus, the mechanical properties of the poly-lactic acid are improved without affecting the biodegradability of the poly-lactic acid.

Method for making a poly-lactic acid/silica composite

The invention provides a compound and method of producing the same. The method of the invention includes the following steps. First of all, Polycaprolactone (PCL), dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA), 4,4'-methylenebis (cyclohexyl isocyanate) (H12MDI), and dibutyltin dilaurate (DBT) are mixed in a solvent in the first place and a solution is formed. This solution is then mixed with triethylamine (TEA) and triethylene tetramine (TETA). After that, amino-terminated anionic waterborne polyurethane (WPU) is produced. A sol-gel process is proceeded with a mixture of amino-terminated anionic waterborne polyurethane, tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) without any extra catalyst, and a compound, waterborne polyurethane-silica nanocomposite materials, is eventually produced.

The invention discloses a polyaniline/c-MWNT produced by carboxylating at least one carbon nanotube to form at least one carboxylic carbon nanotube; mixing the at least one carboxylic carbon nanotube with a solvent to form a first carbon nanotube solution; mixing at least one aniline monomer with the first carbon nanotube solution to form a second carbon nanotube solution; mixing an ammonium persulfate solution with the second carbon nanotube solution to form a third carbon nanotube solution; air-extracting and filtering the third carbon nanotube solution to obtain the polyaniline/c-MWNT nanocomposite; cleaning and baking the polyaniline/c-MWNT nanocomposite.

The present invention discloses a polyimide membrane synthesized by one or more emeraldine amine-capped aniline trimer oligomers, one or more dianhydrides, and an optional diamine, whereby the weight-average molecular weight of the polyimide membrane ranges from 50,000 to 200,000, and the Young's Modulus of the polyimide membrane is equal to or more than 3 GPa.

The invention discloses a polyaniline/c-MWNT nanocomposite and a method for fabricating the same. The method comprises the following steps: carboxylating at least one carbon nanotube to form at least one carboxylic carbon nanotube; mixing the at least one carboxylic carbon nanotube with a solvent to form a first carbon nanotube solution; mixing at least one aniline monomer with the first carbon nanotube solution to form a second carbon nanotube solution; mixing an ammonium persulfate solution with the second carbon nanotube solution to form a third carbon nanotube solution; air-extracting and filtering the third carbon nanotube solution to obtain the polyaniline/c-MWNT nanocomposite; cleaning and baking the polyaniline/c-MWNT nanocomposite. The polyaniline/c-MWNT nanocomposite fabricated by the method could be used for electromagnetic shielding or anti-static shielding.

The invention provides a carbon nanotube compound and method for producing the same. The method of the invention comprises the following steps. Firstly, Aniline-trimer and DMAc(dimethyl acetamide) solution are mixed to form a first solution. Secondly, Dianhydride and DMAc solution are mixed to form a second solution. The first solution and the second are mixed to form a third solution. Additionally, carboxyl-multiwall carbon nanotubes (c-MWNT), Diaminodiphenylether and DMAc solution are mixed to form a fourth solution. The third solution and the fourth are mixed to form a polyamic acid/CNT solution. Some polyamic acid/CNT solution is spread on a substrate and processed by a thermal treatment, and a carbon nanotube compound is eventually produced.

Carbon nanotube compound and method for producing the same

An epoxy/modified silicon dioxide corrosion resistant nanocomposite material and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The method includes the steps of: dispersing TS(TEOS-SiO) or APTES/TEOS-SiO(TAS) in solvent so as to form TS solution or TAS solution; adding triphenylolmethane triglycidyl ether and 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether into the TS solution or TAS solution to produce glycidyl ether/TS solution or glycidyl ether/TAS solution. Add a curing agent into the glycidyl ether/TS solution or glycidyl ether/TAS solution to generate epoxy/TS solution or epoxy/TAS solution. After curing, obtain epoxy/modified silicon dioxide nanocomposite corrosion resistant material. The material is applied to optoelectronics or other fields for corrosion prevention.
