A portable information handling system pivots a hinge rotational axis as the hinge rotates housing portions between open and closed positions to manage a gap between the housing portions. For example, the hinge couples a base at a perimeter of one housing portion, the base having a many body that slides on sliding members of the base and that supports a bracket extending inward to couple to another housing portion. A bracket gear engages with a pinion gear included in the main body to translate bracket rotation through the pinion gear to a rack integrated in the base, thereby sliding the main body relative to the base as the housing portions rotate so that the distance between the housing portions adjusts with rotational orientation.

Translating pivot hinge

The present invention provides a hidden type split hinge. First and second curved tracks are provided on a curved seat body for respectively limiting a first and second curved blocks of first and second rotating members in a way of being relatively swung. First and second torsion units are symmetrical and adjacently provided to a first side of the curved seat body, and one end of the first and second torsion units is respectively provided with first and second pivoting holes, and the first and second pivoting holes are respectively in communication with first and second elongated opening holes, first and second tooth portions are respectively provided around peripheries of the first and second pivoting holes, and the first tooth portion is engaged with the second tooth portion, and the first and second pivoting hole are axially connected to the first and second shaft ends of a first lateral surface.

Hidden type split hinge

A hinge module for a foldable type device has one end-surface connected to a flexible display and has another end-surface respectively connected to a first housing and a second housing. The hinge module comprises a base and a first sliding mechanism. The first sliding mechanism comprises a first supporting plate, a first sliding cover, a first linkage rod, a linkage plate and at least one first restoring member. The first supporting plate and the linkage plate are respectively pivotally connected to the first-lateral-pivoting-portion and the first-central-pivoting-portion. A second limiting portion of a first sliding cover is used to limit the first limiting portion of the first supporting plate in a way of relatively sliding. Thus, when the first limiting portion slides relative to the second limiting portion, the first supporting plate is moved to accommodate the curved-central-part of the flexible display.

Hinge module for a foldable type device

The present invention relates to a pin locking dual shaft hinge, including a connecting support, a first core shaft and a second core shaft parallel to each other, a first engaging cam, a second engaging cam and an insertion pin. The connecting support includes a main body and a first connecting member disposed between an upper and a lower end thereof, the first connecting member is penetrated with a penetrated hole. The first core shaft and the second core shaft are respectively pivoted at the upper and lower end of the main body. The first engaging cam is sleeved and engaged on the first core shaft, the periphery of the first engaging cam is formed with at least a first engaging part. The second engaging cam is sleeved and engaged on the second core shaft, the periphery of second engaging cam is formed with at least a second engaging part.

Pin locking dual shaft hinge

A sheath type rotating axle structure is disclosed, comprising an axle receiver disposed with a slanted corner which is further formed to have a notch therein; a sheath part disposed with a sheath end and an extending end, wherein a flute is formed at the sheath end and a rim and an annular groove are disposed between the sheath end and the extending end; and a pivotal axle pivotally connected the sheath end, disposed at its front end with a protruding ring, and embeddingly engaged with an axle hole of a fixed base at its rear end, wherein the extending end of the sheath part may be securingly mounted onto the notch of the axle receiver and the protruding ring of the pivotal axle may be abutted against the rim and the annular groove of the sheath part such that the sheath part may generate frictional torque against the pivotal axle when the axle receiver is rotated with respect to the fixed base. With the implementation of the present invention, the pivotal axle, the sheath part, and the axle receiver can be prevented from disconnecting.

Sheath type rotating axel structure

A hinge formed of a shaft member, a spring member, a slide, a locating member, a mounting frame, and an end cap. When turning the mounting frame with the locating member relative to the slide and the shaft member within a predetermined angle, the mounting frame is returned or positioning in a position within an angle. When turning the mounting frame over the first predetermined angle, the sliding protrusions of the locating member are moved along the sliding protrusions of the slide, and the mounting frame is returned when the sliding protrusions of the locating member do not move over the peaks of the sliding protrusions of the slide, or the mounting frame is automatically turned relative to the shaft member through an angle when the sliding protrusions of the locating member are moved over the peaks of the sliding protrusions of the slide.

Hinge having auto-return auto-turning functions

The present invention discloses a hinge structure, comprising a pivot having a linking portion disposed with a circular axle axially and a smaller axle extending from the center of the front end of the shaft; a main frame having a connection portion which is formed axially to have a bush-like tube spring below for the insertion of the shaft, the tube spring being positioned to have a gap with the connection portion and one end of the wall of the tube spring being formed to have an notch; a cam member having a rotation part and fixed part between which is disposed with concurrent protruded and indented portions and which are installed inside the tube spring for the insertion of the axle, the rotation part being axially disposed with a protruded tenon, which is connected with the notch of the tube spring, and the fixed part being secured with the axle; and at least a resilient member insertingly connected with the axle and secured with the connection segment of the axle by an end enclosure, which presses and constrains the aforementioned parts.
