An electrophoretic display apparatus includes a bottom substrate, an electrophoretic layer, a color filter substrate and a spacing layer. The bottom substrate has a drive circuitry layer, and the electrophoretic layer is disposed on the drive circuitry layer of the bottom substrate. The color filter substrate is disposed above the electrophoretic layer, and the spacing layer is disposed between the color filter substrate and the electrophoretic layer. The electrophoretic display apparatus has better display quality. A spacing layer is also provided.

Electrophoretic display apparatus and spacing layer

A color filter substrate includes a transparent substrate, a color photoresist layer and an air guiding layer. The color photoresist layer is disposed on the transparent substrate. The air guiding layer is disposed on the substrate and surrounds the color photoresist layer. The air guiding layer includes a plurality of strip-shaped patterns disposed apart from each other. One end of each of the strip-shaped patterns is connected to the color photoresist layer, and the other end of each of the strip-shaped patterns extends toward a direction far away from the color photoresist layer. An air guiding groove is formed between each two adjacent strip-shaped patterns. A color display apparatus having the color filter substrate is also provided. The color filter substrate can be assembled to the display layer without producing air bubbles, and thereby improves display quality of the color display apparatus.

Color filter substrate and color display apparatus

An electrophoretic display apparatus includes a bottom substrate, an electrophoretic layer, a color filter substrate and a spacing layer. The bottom substrate has a drive circuitry layer, and the electrophoretic layer is disposed on the drive circuitry layer of the bottom substrate. The color filter substrate is disposed above the electrophoretic layer, and the spacing layer is disposed between the color filter substrate and the electrophoretic layer. The electrophoretic display apparatus has better display quality.

Electrophoretic display apparatus

A carrier applicable to a laser releasing process and for carrying at least a flexible display panel is provided. The flexible display panel is formed on a transparent substrate and includes a display main body and a driving circuit module connected to an edge of the display main body. The carrier includes a carrying plate having at least a carrying area for carrying the flexible display panel and a protecting cover disposed on the carrying plate and located at an edge of the carrying area. A receiving space is formed between the protecting cover and the carrying plate for receiving the driving circuit module. The protecting cover is for shielding the driving circuit module to prevent the driving circuit module from being irradiated by a laser beam in the laser releasing process. A method for manufacturing flexible display panel also is provided.

Method for manufacturing flexible display panel

A method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display includes the steps of: providing a substrate; forming a flexible plate on the substrate; forming an electrophoretic layer on the flexible plate; forming a transparent protection layer on the electrophoretic layer; forming an edge protection member between the flexible plate and the transparent protection member, the edge protection member surrounding the electrophoretic layer; and providing a laser beam to irradiate the flexible plate from a side of the substrate facing away from flexible plate, so as to release the substrate from the flexible plate.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing electrophoretic displays

A glass substrate carrier has a base, a tray assembly, a transmission device and a non-contact brake assembly. The base is movable. The tray assembly has a tray slidably mounted on the base and holding a glass substrate. The transmission device is mounted between the base and the tray assembly and is capable of driving the tray to extend out or retract back to the base. The non-contact brake assembly has a first brake element mounted on the base and a second brake element mounted on the tray assembly and un-contacting the first brake element. The first and second brake elements attract each other with an attractive force to brake a movement of the tray of the tray assembly. The first and second brake elements do not rub against each other and no dust is generated to damage circuit on the glass substrate.

Glass substrate carrier with a non-contact brake assembly

A glass substrate carrier assembly has a shelf and multiple pickup caps. The shelf is connected electrically to ground and has a bar, two stands and two brackets. The bar has two ends. The stands are mounted respectively on and extend down from the ends of the bar, are connected electrically to ground and are electrically conductive. The brackets are electrically conductive, are mounted respectively on and extend perpendicularly inward from the stands below the bar and face each other, and each bracket is T-shaped and has a distal edge and multiple tabs. The tabs are electrically conductive and are mounted on and extend perpendicularly from the distal edge of the bracket. The pickup caps are electrically conductive and are mounted on the tabs. Static electricity will pass through the pickup cap, the tab, the bracket and the stands to ground so static electricity will be removed from the shelf.
