A disk drive includes a chassis and first and second disk-positioning members mounted respectively on two opposite sides of the chassis. The first and second disk-positioning members have two straight inner portions extending perpendicularly and respectively from the opposite sides of the chassis to define a first distance therebetween, and two outer portions extending inclinedly and respectively from the inner straight portions in such a manner to define a second distance therebetween. The second distance is longer than the first distance. When an optical disk is moved to a reading and/or writing position from a temporary position, the inclined outer portions of the first and second disk-positioning members are spaced apart from the disk to permit smooth rotation thereof.

An electronic apparatus with level detecting capability has an electronic component, a light-sensing device for sensing light, a light source for emitting light onto the light-sensing device, a light blocker for blocking light emitted by the light source from projecting onto the light-sensing device when the electronic component is tilted and has a tilt angle within a predetermined range, and a control circuit electrically connected to the light-sensing device for controlling the electronic component to selectively operate in one of a plurality of operating modes according to the intensity of light received by the light-sensing device.

Electronic Apparatus with level detecting function

An optical disc drive comprising at least a housing, an optical disc cassette, a cassette ejector and a fixing element is provided. The housing has an ejection opening. The cassette ejector and the fixing element are disposed in the housing. The optical disc cassette is disposed inside the housing for holding a plurality of optical discs. The housing has an open fixing groove. The fixing element lodges on the open fixing groove when the optical disc cassette is pushed into the housing. When the optical disc cassette is manually ejected, a manual ejection element that passes through the ejection opening is used to change the relative position between the fixing element and the open fixing groove. Consequently, the optical disc cassette can be ejected from the housing by the cassette ejector.

An optical disc drive including a housing, a disc exchanger, a data processing module, an optical disc cassette, a cassette ejector and at least an elastic element is provided. The disc exchanger is disposed inside the housing to operate within an operating range. The data processing module is disposed within the operating range inside the housing. The optical disc cassette is suitable for being set up within the operating range and has at least one hollow. The cassette ejector is disposed on the housing. The elastic element is disposed inside the housing. When the optical disc cassette is stationed inside the housing, a distance is kept between the elastic element and the hollow. The elastic element is disposed on an ejection path of the hollow. The elastic element is suitable for lodging inside the hollow of the optical disc cassette when the optical disc cassette is ejected from the housing.

An optical disc reading apparatus includes a main body, a first disc entrance and a second disc entrance. The main body has a disc-reading room therein for accommodating the optical disc. The first disc entrance is arranged on a first face of the main body for providing the optical disc with a first approach to the disc-reading room. The second disc entrance is arranged on a second face of the main body different from the first face for providing the optical disc with a second approach to the disc-reading room.

The swingable cover is used to expose/block the slot to/from the exterior of the slot-in optical recording and/or reproducing apparatus.

A cushion assembly includes a retarding member, a support member and an urging member. The retarding member has a base portion and an upper portion formed with an upper end face, and is formed with a guiding hole extending inwardly and axially from the upper end face. The urging member is sleeved around the retarding member for urging the support disc upwardly and axially away from the retarding member.

A disc drive includes a disc-guiding member provided with a positioning pillar, a rotating seat for receiving an optical disc when the disc is disposed at a reading position, and a transport roller for pushing the optical disc against urging action of the disc-guiding member to a temporary position above the reading position. The pillar has an enlarged first portion to contact the disc when the disc is at the temporary position and a constricted second portion to space apart from the disc when the disc is at the reading position.

An optical storage drive with functions of detecting turn over is disclosed. When it is detected that an optical storage drive is turned over, the power of the optical storage drive is turned off, or the operation of the optical storage drive is stopped, or the optical disc originally in the optical storage drive is ejected, or some warning reactions are generated so as to prevent a user that accidentally turns over an optical storage drive from operating the optical storage drive.
