An illumination system includes first laser light sources, second laser light sources, an optical module, and a light homogenizing element. The first and second laser light sources respectively provide first and second beams. A light spot area formed when the second beams are emitted is different from that formed when the first beams are emitted. The optical module converts the first beams into spot-expanding beams which form a light spot area different from that of the first beams. The light homogenizing element includes a light incident face disposed on transmission paths of the second beams and the spot-expanding beams. A difference between light spot areas formed by the second beams and the spot-expanding beams on the light incident face is less than a difference between light spot areas formed when the second beams and the first beams are emitted. A projection apparatus having the illumination system is further disclosed.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

A light source module configured to provide a light beam along a first direction is provided. The light source module includes first to third light source groups and first to fourth beam-combining devices, wherein each of a light exiting surface of the first light source group and a light exiting surface of the third light source group is not parallel to a light exiting surface of the second light source group. An emitted light of the first light source group is transmitted along the first direction after being reflected by the first and second beam-combining devices. An emitted light of the third light source group is transmitted along the first direction after being reflected by the third and fourth beam-combining devices. An emitted light of the second light source group is transmitted along the first direction and passes through the first and third beam-combining devices.

Light source module and projection device

A light source module used in a projection device comprises a plurality of laser emitting elements and a light adjusting device. The laser emitting elements are configured to emit excitation beams. Each excitation beam is received by an optical system of the projection device to emit sub-beams. The light adjusting device comprises a plurality of light adjusting elements. The excitation beams penetrate through the light adjusting device and are output as output beams to be converted into illumination beams by the optical system. The light adjusting elements are disposed corresponding to at least some of the laser emitting elements with reference to the sub-beam light intensity distributions, so that the illumination beam light intensity distributions conform to a preset light intensity distribution. Furthermore, a projection device is provided and comprises at least one light source module, an optical system, at least one light valve and a projection lens.

A projector and a wavelength conversion device thereof are provided. The wavelength conversion device includes a wavelength conversion element and a diffusion element. The wavelength conversion element includes a first substrate and at least one wavelength conversion layer. The at least one wavelength conversion layer is disposed on the first substrate and surrounding an axle center of the first substrate. The at least one wavelength conversion layer is configured to perform a conversion on a light beam. The diffusion element is connected to the first substrate of the wavelength conversion element and surrounding the axle center of the first substrate. The diffusion element is configured to allow another light beam to pass through.

Projector and wavelength conversion device

An illumination system includes a first light source providing a first color beam, a first beam-splitting element which disposes on a transmission path of the first color beam and separates the first color beam into a first sub-beam and a second sub-beam, an optical wavelength conversion element which receives the first sub-beam and converts the first sub-beam into a second color beam and reflects the second color beam back to the first beam-splitting element, a second light source providing a third color beam, and a second beam-splitting element which is located between the second light source and the first beam-splitting element to reflect the second sub-beam. The third color beam passes through the second beam-splitting element and is transmitted to the first beam-splitting element. The second sub-beam, the second color beam and the third color beam are combined into an illumination beam.

Illumination system and projection apparatus using the same

A projector includes a light source module, an optical engine, a light valve and a projecting lens. The light source module includes light sources, optical fibers and a light integration rod. Each of the light sources provides an illumination sub-beam. Each of the illumination sub-beams transmits to the light integration rod through the corresponding optical fiber, and passes through the light integration rod and emits out to form a first illumination beam. The optical engine includes a phosphor wheel located at a transmission path of the first illumination beam and converting the first illumination beam into a second illumination beam. The light valve is located at a transmission path of the second illumination beam and converts the second illumination beam into an image beam. The projecting lens is located at a transmission path of the image beam and projects the image beam out of the projector.
