A plate-type heat exchanger and a method for manufacturing same are provided. A plate-type heat exchanger includes a first plate and a second plate which have flange parts vertically adhered by an adhesive, respectively. The flange parts are formed in a stepped shape and may thus increase an area adhered to the first plate and the second plate.

A condenser for a refrigerator according the present invention includes a heat exchange unit configured to receive at one side thereof refrigerant, which has been compressed in a compressor, to perform heat exchange between the refrigerant and air and to discharge the refrigerant, which has exchanged heat with the air, to an evaporator, wherein the heat exchange unit includes a flat tube, through one end of which the refrigerant is introduced and through a remaining end of which the refrigerant is discharged, thereby performing heat exchange between the refrigerant and the air, wherein the flat tube includes at least one bent tube portion defining plural rows of tubes, which are spaced apart from each other in an up-and-down direction, and wherein the plural rows of tubes define an intersection bent surface, which has a predetermined curvature and intersects the up-and-down direction.

Provided is an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, including: an outdoor heat exchanger that has a height longer than a width; and an outdoor blowing fan that is disposed above the outdoor heat exchanger and blows air upward from below the outdoor heat exchanger, in which the outdoor heat exchanger includes: a plurality of radiating fins that contacts air; a gap that is formed between the radiating fins; a louver fin that is cut in the radiating fin and then bent; and a cut-out area that is formed in the radiating fin and formed at a position where the louver fin is cut, the radiating fin includes: a first zone that is disposed above the outdoor heat exchanger and disposed close to the outdoor blowing fan; and a second zone that is located below the first zone, and an area LAof the louver fin in the first zone is formed to be larger than an area LAof the louver fin in the second zone. The present disclosure has the advantage of uniformly forming air volumes in each zone of the heat exchanger in the vertical height direction by making the areas of the louver fins arranged in each zone different, even when the outdoor blowing fan is disposed to be biased upward.

Outdoor unit of air conditioner

A heat exchanger may include flat tubes formed of a microchannel type, and first and second fins positioned at a top and bottom of the flat tubes so as to conduct the heat of the flat tubes. The first and second fins may be respectively provided with first and second condensate water discharge fins at a top and bottom. The second condensate water discharge fins of the first fins and the first condensate water discharge fins of the second fins may come into contact, and the second condensate water discharge fins of the first fins and the first condensate water discharge fins of the second fins may be disposed in a line with respect to a vertical direction, thereby having an advantage of quickly transferring condensate water formed at the top to the bottom.

An air conditioner and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The air conditioner includes an indoor heat exchanger and an outdoor heat exchanger, each including a plurality of refrigerant pipes and at least one connection pipe for interconnecting the refrigerant pipes, a brazing hole formed in the connection pipe by punching, and a brazing ring mounted over the brazing hole, wherein portions of the refrigerant pipes are inserted into the connection pipe through inlet ends of the connection pipe, the brazing hole is located between ends of the refrigerant pipes and the inlet ends of the connection pipe, and the connection pipe is bonded to the refrigerant pipes by heating at least one selected from between the refrigerant pipes and the brazing ring.

A microchannel type heat exchanger may include a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger, in which a plurality of flat tube may be provided, a first path defined in flat tubes provided in the first heat exchanger, in which refrigerant flows in a first direction, a second path defined in flat tubes provided in the first heat exchanger, in which refrigerant, from the first path, flows in a second direction opposite to the first direction, a third path defined in the flat tubes provided in the first heat exchanger and a portion of the flat tubes provided in the second heat exchanger, in which refrigerant, from the second path, flows in a third direction opposite to the second direction, and a fourth path defined in the flat tubes provided in the second heat exchanger, in which refrigerant, from the third path, flows in a fourth direction opposite to the third direction.

An air conditioner and evaporator inlet header distributor therefor are provided. The air conditioner may include an evaporator inlet header distributor to distribute a refrigerant expanded in an expansion mechanism to a plurality of refrigerant flow paths of an evaporator. The evaporator inlet header distributor may include a distributor body, a refrigerant inlet pipe to guide refrigerant expanded in the expansion mechanism to an inside of the distributor body, a plurality of refrigerant outlet pipes to discharge the refrigerant from the distributor body into the plurality of refrigerant flow paths, and a separating plate to separate the inside of the distributor body into a header flow path connected with the plurality of refrigerant outlet pipes and a refrigerant dispersing flow path connected with the refrigerant inlet pipe to guide an upper portion and a lower portion of the header flow path by dispersing the refrigerant. Accordingly, two-phase refrigerant may be uniformly distributed to the plurality of refrigerant outlet pipes using a simple structure.

Air conditioner and evaporator inlet header distributor therefor

Provided is a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a refrigerant tube through which a refrigerant flows and a fin having at least two tube through holes in which the refrigerant tube is inserted. The fin includes a fin body, a plurality of flow guide protruding from one surface of the fin body, the plurality of flow guides being spaced apart from each other, and a plane part partitioning one flow guide and the other flow guide of the plurality of flow guides, the plane part having a flat surface.

A heat exchanger and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. With the method, a tube may be inserted into a through hole formed in at least one fin coated with a filler metal, and the tube and a fin collar of the at least one fin may be joined through the filler metal by a brazing processing. A flange may not be formed on or at a top of the at least one fin collar, which protrudes vertically from a central longitudinal plane of the at least one fin. The tube may be made of aluminum (Al), and an interval between an outer circumferential surface of the tube and an inner circumferential surface of the fin collar of the at least one fin may be approximately 0.1 mm or less. Accordingly, contact resistance occurring when fabricating a fin-tube heat exchanger using a mechanical tube expansion method may be reduced, and heat transfer performance of the heat exchanger may be improved because grooves formed within the tube may not be deformed.

Method of manufacturing a heat exchanger

Provided is a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a refrigerant tube through which a refrigerant flows and a fin having at least two tube through holes in which the refrigerant tube is inserted. The fin includes a fin body, a plurality of louvers protruding from a surface of the fin body, a plane part defined between the plurality of louvers, the plane part having a flat surface, and a guide part disposed on at least one side of the plane part to guide a flow of air or discharge of defrosting water.

A fin for a heat exchanger is provided that may include a fin body having a first heat exchange area, and a second heat exchange area, which is disposed to be adjacent to the first heat exchange area; a fin collar that passes through the fin body and protrudes from the fin body; and a plurality of fin portions formed at or on the fin body and having different shapes from each other.
