Disclosed is a process for hydroformylation of &#x3b1;-olefin wherein said &#x3b1;-olefin is reached with carbon monoxide or carbon monoxide and hydrogen and/or a reducing agent in presence of a catalyst complex based on a rhodium precursor and a ligand mixture comprising at least 1% by weight of trphenylphosphine and at least 5% by weight of diphenylcyclohexylphosphine, tris-(o-tolyl)phosphine, tris-(p-tolyl)phosphine or (2-methyl-phenyl)diphenylphospine.

Hydroformylation process

The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of paraffinic hydrocarbons, which can be used as gasoline blending components. The obtained gasoline blending component is substantially free of sulphur compounds. The process comprises simultaneous hydrogenation of olefins and degradation of sulphur compounds by hydrogenolysis. In the process a feed-stock containing as impurities sulphur compounds is hydrogenated in two steps in the presence of a noble metal catalyst on aluminium oxide support, and in the first step the major part of olefins are converted and in the secondary step the remaining olefins and sulphur compounds react.

Process for the manufacture of a gasoline blending component

The invention relates to a process for producing a hydrocarbon component of biological origin. The process comprises at least two steps, the first one of which is a HDO step and the second one is an isomerization step operated using the counter-current flow principle. A biological raw material containing fatty acids and/or fatty acid esters serves as the feed stock.
