The primary object of the invention is an arrangement in the fibrous-web machine for tail-threading of a fibrous web, a tail-threading apparatus and a method for tail-threading. The arrangement comprises a tail-threading apparatus which is arranged to receive a tail separated from the fibrous web and to guide it further to the subsequent section of the fibrous-web machine in the longitudinal direction of the fibrous-web machine, at least one blower () which is provided with a flow-preventing plate () and arranged to guide the tail towards said tail-threading apparatus for feeding the tail to the tail-threading apparatus, whereby said at least one blower () with its flow-preventing plate () is arranged to divert the travel direction of tail on the longitudinal vertical plane and the cross-directional vertical plane of the fibrous-web machine, and said tail-threading apparatus comprises a rope nip receiving the tail the tail-threading ropes of which are supported by a rope pulley () which is arranged to rotate on a plane in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the fibrous-web machine and oblique in relation to the vertical direction and which is arranged to receive the diverted tail in the diverted travel direction. The invention enables the implementation of a tail-threading process fitting into a smaller space.

Arrangement and method for tail-threading a fibrous web

The invention relates to a device and a method for manipulating a fibrous web (). The device comprises at least one blower (A,B) provided with a flow-preventing element (A,B) which is arranged to produce at least one blow (A,B) substantially in the direction of the fibrous web (), and a friction element () against which the fibrous web () is arranged to be pressed at least partially from the effect of said blow (A,B) and flow-preventing element (A,B) to apply a friction force resisting the motion of the fibrous web () to the fibrous web (). According to the invention, the blow (A,B) is directed substantially away from the friction element () and the friction element () comprises a surface profile which is arranged such that, from the effect of said at least one blow (A,B), a continuous vacuum is created on the surface of the fibrous web () on the side of the friction element (). Due to its intensified friction effect, the device according to the invention is applicable especially for board and, by means of it, it is possible to form e.g. an air cutting device in the tail-threading section of a board machine.

Device and method for manipulating a fibrous web

In a web-forming machine, a threading tail is formed from the web. The threading tail is transferred to the production section (-) of the web-forming machine including a draw section (). Monitoring takes place of both the formation of the threading tail and its transfer to the draw point (). The holding point () and its environment that terminates the tail threading of the production section (-) in question are additionally monitored, in order to detect the threading tail at the holding point () and thus to determine the success of the tail threading.

Method and arrangement in tail threading of a web forming machine

An arrangement in tail threading in a multinip calender of a paper machine comprises rolls that form nips, extraction rolls as well as tail threading apparatus for guiding the tail to be transferred during tail threading through the multinip calender. The arrangement includes a holding point adapted prior to the last nip and a cutting device. The arrangement further includes a support device adapted at the holding point for supporting the tail during cutting.

Arrangement in tail threading in a multinip calender of a paper machine

A method and apparatus in ropeless tail threading in a multi-roll calender is disclosed wherein the threading tail is guided through the multi-roll calender in such a way that, before the multi-roll calender, the threading tail is guided first of all to the broke processing and then cut when the tail threading begins. The tail threading takes place in stages, so that at least once during the tail threading the threading tail in connection with the multi-roll calender is guided to broke processing and cut, after which the tail threading is continued, once the previous stage has succeeded.

Method and apparatus in ropeless tail threading in a multi-roll calender

In the method for threading a tail ( ) of a paper or board web through a paper or board machine or a section thereof, or through an aftertreatment machine for paper or board or a section thereof, the tail ( ) is prevented from wandering onto the same line with a tail carrier means ( ), such as threading ropes, upstream of the draw point of the tail. The tail ( ) is guided towards the centre line of the machine by subjecting the tail to an effect of force which tends to move the tail towards the centre line of the machine.

Tail threading method and finishing device for paper

The invention concerns an arrangement of threading of a paper web (W) in a supercalender, which comprises an upper roll (,), a lower roll (,), and a stack of rolls consisting of intermediate rolls (,) and fitted between said upper and lower roll. The rolls (,) in the calender arm in nip contact (N,. . . N,) with one another. At the sides of the stack of rolls, alternatingly at the left side and at the right side, a take-out leading roll (,) has been fitted at each intermediate roll (,). The arrangement of threading comprises at least one loop of a transfer belt (Z), which is penetrable by air and which runs outside the edge of the paper web (W) through at least two nips (N,. . . N,) in the calender. The transfer belt (Z) passes the lead-in strip (W,) of the paper web through at least one nip (N,. . . N,) in the calender. In addition to this, the arrangement of threading comprises at least one suction box (,), which is placed on a free run of the paper web (W) and of the transfer belt (Z) between intermediate rolls (,) and takeout leading rolls (,) in the calender. The lead-in strip is kept in contact with the transfer belt by means of the suction of a suction box.
