A method of training a detection system is able to acquire volume image data in an additively manufactured object for the detection of process irregularities, and comprises the steps of: a) receiving process irregularity data referring to a selected location within an additively manufactured reference object in which selected location a predefined process irregularity occurred during the additive manufacture of the object, b) acquiring volume image data of a volume of the reference object comprising at least the selected location by said detection system, c) identifying within the volume image data characteristic data which represent a difference between the volume image data of the selected location in comparison with the volume image data of at least one other location of the reference object and/or of a number of other additively manufactured objects in which no process irregularity has occurred and/or no process irregularity is suspected, d) assigning to the predefined process irregularity the characteristic data as a representative of the predefined process irregularity.

Method of detecting process irregularities by means of volume image data of the manufactured object

The invention relates to a method for layered production of a three-dimensional object, wherein a powdery or fluid building material, which can be solidified by the effects of electromagnetic or particle radiation, is applied in layers having a layer thickness d, and the locations in each layer which correspond to a cross-section of the object allocated to said layer are solidified by means of electromagnetic or particle radiation. According to the invention, each cross-section consists of a contour region and an inner region and the method comprises the following sub-step: in a sequence of N successive cross-sections, wherein N is a whole number greater than 1, a partial region is defined in every cross-section as a critical region and the rest of the cross-section is defined as a non-critical region, a number of N layers are applied successively, without solidification of the non-critical regions. The non-critical regions of all N layers are not solidified in all N layers until after application of the Nth layer.

Method for producing a three-dimensional object

A method for manufacturing a three-dimensional object by successively solidifying layers of a building material at positions in the respective layer corresponding to the cross-section of the object is provided, wherein at least a partial region of a layer is solidified such that a pattern is generated, which pattern contains a plurality of substantially parallel solidification lines (V, S), and at least a partial region of a subsequent layer is exposed such that a pattern is generated, which pattern contains a plurality of substantially parallel solidification lines (V, S) that are rotated with respect to the solidification lines of the pattern of the previous layer by an angle (&#x3b1;) that differs from 180&#xb0;, 90&#xb0; and 45&#xb0;.

Method and device for manufacturing a three-dimensional object

The invention relates to a process for the production of a dental prosthetic item () by means of local sintering, in which the dental prosthetic item () is produced layer-wise by energy input, by means of an energy transferring beam (), into a layer of powder () of a sinterable material. One or more parameters of the sintering process are modified during production such that the material () is regionally sintered to various degrees to produce denser material in the marginal region () of a sintered layer of said dental prosthetic item () than is produced in the inner region () of said sintered layer. The invention furthermore relates to a dental prosthetic item () of a material subjected to local sintering, which material is sintered in a marginal region () of the dental prosthetic item () to a greater density than in an inner region ().
