A sensor system, for sensing at least one property of a measured gas in a measured-gas space, includes a probe for sensing the property of the measured gas. The probe has at least one sensor element and at least one housing surrounding the sensor element. The housing is configured so that the sensor element in the housing is capable of being impinged upon with the measured gas. The sensor system also includes a receiving element connectable to a wall of the measured-gas space. The probe is introducible along an insertion axis into the receiving element and securable in the receiving element. The probe is capable of being sealed off from the measured-gas space by at least one seal. The seal encompasses at least one linear seal.

Special seal geometry for exhaust gas sensors for producing high leak tightness with respect to the measurement chamber

A gas sensor is for determining at least one physical quantity of a gas, e.g., an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, the gas sensor having a sensor element that is fixed in a housing of the gas sensor by a seal assembly. The seal assembly includes a sealing element, which has a ceramic and/or a metallic material. After the heat treatment, the sealing element has a maximum decrease in volume of 5 percent, or an increase in volume, based on the volume of the sealing element prior to the heat treatment.

Gas sensor

A gas sensor for determining a physical characteristic of a measurement gas, in particular its temperature or the concentration of a gas component in a gas mixture, having a sensor element that has end segments at the side of the measurement gas and at the side of the connection, a sheath that surrounds the sensor element with a radial distance and that has a protective tube, a housing, and a holding cap, and a sealing element that seals the sensor element against the sheath and that is situated on the sensor element between the measurement gas-side end segment and the connection-side end segment of the sensor element. In order to achieve a gas measurement sensor that can be manufactured economically and that has a reduced axial constructive height, and that provides a sufficiently good sealing against the measurement gas, the protective tube is provided at its end facing the sealing element with a tube base that has a central through-opening for the sensor element and that immediately abuts the sealing element, and that presses the sealing element axially between the cap base and the tube base.

A sensor is described for determining a physical property of a gas that is to be measured, especially the pressure, the temperature or the concentration of a gas component in the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines, which has a sensor element supported in a sensor housing whose gas-sensitive sensor section protrudes from the sensor housing, and has a protective tube that surrounds the sensor section. In order to achieve an effective protection of the gas-sensitive sensor section from water drops and solid substances included in the exhaust gas, in conjunction with cost-effective production of the protective tube, protective tube is developed spiral-shaped, yielding a tube wall that is spiral-shaped in cross section.

Sensor for determining a physical property of a test gas

A sensor unit for determining a physical sensor parameter of a measuring gas, in particular an oxygen concentration in an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is provided, which includes a sensor housing and at least one connection cable having an electrically insulating cable sheathing, for the transmission of energy and/or the sensor parameter, the sensor housing having at least one cable opening for the connection cable and at least one sealing element for sheathing and sealing the connection cable, the cable having better sealing than the related art and/or the ability to resist higher temperature loading. According to the invention, this is achieved by at least partially forming the sealing element as tube.

A sensor for determining a physical property such as the concentration of a gas component or the temperature of a measuring gas, e.g., the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines, has a sensor element which is secured in a housing and is surrounded at an end section on the measuring gas side by a protective tube and surrounded at an end section on the connection side by a protective sleeve, and also has a radially projecting flange for securing the sensor on a sealing seat formed on a measuring gas duct. To reduce manufacturing costs, the flange is molded onto the protective tube as one piece. The protective tube is manufactured as a deep-drawn part, and a trimming edge remaining after deep drawing on the end side is used as a securing flange.

Sensor

Electrical connecting lines of a sensor element are anchored by friction locking, specifically using an annularly closed spring element which clamps the connecting lines against contact surfaces on the sensor element using pressure bodies.

A gas sensor is provided, for example, a sensor for determining the concentration or the temperature of a gas component. The gas sensor has a housing, in which a sensor element having at least one contact surface is arranged. The contact surface is conductively connected to a conductor element. The sensor element having the contact surface and the conductor element is arranged between two contact supports situated opposite one another. A spring element contacting the contact supports presses the conductor element onto the contact surface. Each of the contact supports, on sides facing one another, has at least one recess and at least one protuberance, the protuberance of one contact support engaging in the recess of the other contact support, and vice versa.

The invention relates to a gas probe for installation in a measurement gas chamber, having a metal housing in which a planar sensor element is disposed, electrically insulated, with at least one contact face that is conductively connected to a metal conductor element. For the conductor element, an electrically insulating contact holder is provided, which presses the conductor element onto the contact face by a spring element that engages the contact holder. The conductor element is disposed in an indentation of the contact holder, which indentation is oriented toward the contact face of the sensor element, and by way of a region protruding out of the indentation of the contact holder, the conductor element is in contact with the contact face.
