A method and a device for influencing the transfer of vibrations of a vibration generator to an object connected to it, in particular of engine vibrations to the body of a motor vehicle. At least one piezo element is arranged as an actuator in the region of an intermediate element connecting the vibration generator to the object. Primary vibrations are transferred between the vibration generator and the object via the intermediate element. The actuator is induced in a controlled manner to undergo secondary vibrations. The total energy and/or the composition of the frequencies of the vibrations transferred via the intermediate element are changed by the actuator, and the remaining residual vibration is measured and used for controlling the secondary vibrations. Surprisingly good results are achieved in this way if the secondary vibrations are introduced in the region between the vibration generator and the intermediate element and if the residual vibration is measured in the region between the intermediate element and the point at which the intermediate element bears against the object.

A method and a system for influencing possible structure-borne sound conductions and possible noise radiations of objects which have at least two at least indirectly mutually adjoining and mutually connected components. For compensating an axial play and/or a disturbing sound effect, the clamping conditions are changed by a reversible change of the axial course and/or of the axial contact pressure of an axial adjusting unit onto the rotatable part, the axial adjusting unit being manufactured of a piezoelectrically active material.

A method for changing the clamping conditions between a shaft bearing and a rotatable part, which is rotatably disposed in the shaft bearing, and in the case of which the axis of rotation of the rotatable part is arranged axially identically with the axis of rotation of the shaft bearing, as well as to a corresponding shaft bearing. The shaft bearing has a radial adjusting unit in which the clamping conditions of the rotatable part can be changed in the shaft bearing. This change takes place by a reversible change of the radial course of the radial adjusting unit and/or by a reversible change of the contact pressure onto the rotatable part.
