A proposed wiper blade serves to clean the windshields of motor vehicles. The wiper blade () has an elongated rubber-elastic wiping strip which can be placed in contact against the windshield to be wiped and which is held substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis at an elongated, springing-elastic carrying element (). A connection device () for complementing connection means of a driven wiper arm () which are loaded toward the windshield is arranged at the center portion of the carrying element (). The connection device has two stop surfaces () which are located at a distance from one another, extend transverse to the driving direction, are parallel to one another and oriented in planes extending vertical to the windshield, and cooperate with counter-stops of the wiper arm. A problem-free and economical arrangement of the connection device at the carrying element is carried out in that one of the two structural component parts (or) which are connected with one another is provided with elastically deflectable catch means which cooperate with the complementing catch means of the other structural component part (or) in such a way that the two structural component parts are locked together.

The invention is based on a wiper system with at least one wiper support ( ), which, in a pre-mounted state, has a part ( ) that is guided through a mounting opening ( ) of a vehicle and is fastened to it. The proposal is made that while being mounted, the wiper support ( ) rests against the rim of the mounting opening ( ), tilts under the influence of gravity and as a result, is held in the mounting opening ( ) with frictional, non-positive engagement and/or positive engagement.

A support element for a wiper strip belonging to a wiper blade for motor vehicle windows is proposed, which assures proper contact of a wiper strip, belonging to the wiper blade, with the window to be wiped. The support element is embodied as elongated in bandlike fashion, and it comprises an elastic plastic. The rubber-elastic wiper strip, elongated in bandlike fashion, can be secured to the support element longitudinally axially parallel. An especially durably operationally reliable support element is obtained if the support element is made from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plastic, and the fibers are admixed with the plastic.

A wiper installation structure has a wiper bearing which is guided and fastened in the preassembled state to form a part through a mounting opening of a motor vehicle. The wiper bearing is held in the mounting opening via a catch connection during fastening. The catch connection has at least one hook part fastened to the wiper bearing and held in a recess of the wiper bearing by a holding ring.
