An air-cooled reciprocating compressor for vehicles includes a compressing unit, which has a plurality of cylinders and is driven by a motor and has a fan for generating a cooling air flow. The fan is disposed on a connecting shaft between the motor and the compressing unit and takes in cooling air from the surroundings and delivers cooling air to a downstream cooling air duct, wherein the cooling air duct at least partially surrounds the cylinders and is designed such that cooling air can flow around all in-line cylinders of the compressing unit.

Air-cooled reciprocating compressor having special cooling air conduction

A compressor assembly includes a support plate and a plurality of components mounted on the support plate via mechanical connections. The plurality of components includes at least a drive and a compressor for compressing air, the compressor being driven by the drive. The assembly also includes at least one line integrated into the support plate and selected ones of the mechanical connections. The line provides at least one of a fluidic connection and an electrical connection between at least two of the plurality of components.
