An explosion-proof device with a pressure-proof capsule (), an electronic mechanism () and a signal receiver (), wherein the electronic mechanism () is designed intrinsically safe, the pressure-proof capsule () has a radiolucent process window () and the signal receiver () is arranged inside of the pressure-proof capsule (). An explosion-proof device that can be flexibly used and is economical is implemented in that the electronic device () is arranged within the pressure-proof capsule () and the signal receiver () is designed to be intrinsically safe.

A non-intrinsically safely supplied measurement device () with a connecting device () having an 'increased safety' type of protection for connecting the measurement device () to a feed connection () in order to supply the measurement device () with electricity, an electronic device () which contains electronic components of the measurement device (), a display device (), a sensor () made with 'increased safety' or &#x201c;intrinsic safety&#x201d; type of protection, and an output circuit () that is without at least the &#x201c;intrinsic safety&#x201d; type of protection. The electronic device () has an &#x201c;encapsulation&#x201d; type of protection, the display device () has an &#x201c;intrinsic safety&#x201d; type of protection and the display device (), the sensor () and the output circuit () are connected to the electronic device () via connections having an &#x201c;increased safety&#x201d; type of protection.
